I'm not joking with that title...I seriously forgot how to read for a brief moment earlier today. I had a massive case of "stage fright." I really hate having to give a presentation to a class, even one as small as the class I was in earlier today. (There were...probably 10-15 people in that class room, which is incredibly small compared to the 100+ classes.)
It was a group project, but we each had to present a part. I had my computer open, but had incredible difficulty reading what it said. I planned out ahead of time how I was going to do it, but that all backfired the minute I had to present. Being extremely shy sucks...badly. I'm just glad the members of my group weren't mad at me. They were very understanding of my problem. I had to present for two minutes, but only lasted 30 seconds.
Unfortunately, it's nowhere near over. One of the requirements for the engineering school here is that we are required to take Communication 211 (or maybe it's 111). It's a speech class, so it has some of the things I can't stand the most in it: large class, writing speeches, speaking in front of a lot of people, and worst of all, video cameras. Sometimes I wonder if it's really worth it or not. I know, this probably sounds incredibly stupid.
Even thinking that I had forgotten how to read sounds funny to me. XD Though, that's the only part of it that's funny.
