    Currently playing: Crash Team Racing

Work has gotten me really busy. So here's a set of blogs from the week!

Jan. 16: Last day of vacation…
It's Martin Luther King Day, and it's also the last day of winter break for the college kids, including Roy who will be starting back to school tomorrow (Tuesday). Stress was getting to him because he couldn't get one of the classes that he needed. I've been there before. Where you would have to wait several hours if not days and hopefully get a seat in the class. Roy's dad has been stressing him out so much that it worries me that he could snap big time (and I've seen him snap…it's not pretty). I decided to head to work early to let him have his space. But he didn't want to. I insisted, and left an hour early for work. He was calm when I returned.

    Jan 17: Crash Team Racing
There's Mario Kart, a racing game that I grew up with when I was a kid. But I actually have a soft spot for Crash Bandicoot and the spinoff racing game, Crash Team Racing. Let me tell ya…I spent so many hours on that game alone than every single Mario Kart game combined. Plus, I actually enjoy the Crash games…I'm a huge fan! Today before I head on to work, I decided to blow off the rest of my spending money towards a copy of Crash Team Racing at the local retro video games store. Yay for more PS1 games! I'm well on my way to getting pretty much every single Crash game for my awesome PS2. I can also play a Crash game with the bf as well.

What really made me love about this racing game is the adventure mode. Diddy Kong Racing also has an adventure mode, and it's freaking amazing. Mario Kart lacks an adventure mode, and if only they could add some sort of a story mode where you can try out different drivers, that would really seal the deal.

    Jan 18: Pet peeve #34720937
I really really hate when I text people something important and I was hoping for a response (especially when I'm working), and I get no response whatsoever. I usually text Roy about some random stuff, and he usually responds. But today, he did not respond to any of my texts, and that was giving me so much anxiety. When I came back home, it turned out that his dad was giving him grief again, and it looks like he'll be spending the weekend with him. It kinda threw me off because I wasn't aware it was all happening. I told him that I did not like how he didn't text me saying that he was busy or he told me that his dad was stressful to him. Even though he apologized, it still bothered me throughout the night.

Jan 19: Let the Girl Time begin…
So, Roy left for Houston to see his dad for the weekend. I won't be able to see him until Sunday. I'm still grateful that he's able to see his dad, even though he (the dad) and I are not on good terms, it seems (Blog entry from Jan 1 can explain that). I also wanted to take the time to occupy myself. Messaging a couple friends and they pretty much bailed on me. I took an extra shift at work today, just to keep me from being bored. Tomorrow I planned a drive to Houston just to do a little shopping and spoil myself a little. Maybe this is the time I really need. To pamper myself from all the hustle and bustle of work, relationship, and preparing for the upcoming brain torture that is the A+ Certification classes that are starting very soon for me. Hopefully by Sunday I can feel fully relaxed and refreshed by the time I go back to work as well as when Roy returns.
