  • I am lucky to say that my family and I traveled a lot during my youth. I've been to many amazing places throughout my life and I'm super grateful for it! So I thought I'd write about my travels.

The first time I ever traveled by plane was when I was 2, we were going to visit my dad's parents and siblings in England. I of course didn't remember much.

We went back again when I was about 6. We visited my grandparents in a tiny town called Epworth, it was an old, charming town with only a few stores and only about 200 residents. The things I really remember the most were eating fish and chips with everyone, going on forest walks, and long drives in the countryside...

The third time we went, I was about 10, we went to the Lake District with our relatives, I remember my cousins being impressed because I got Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland a few months before them because I live in America. Spending time with my dear cousins was definitely the best part, we went hiking, rock climbing, swimming, just hanging around... During that trip we also went to London and got to ride the London Eye!
My favorite part of the trip was staying in Whitby for a few days with my cousins and their parents. Whitby is a fantastic little town, with charming shops, and it's located by the beach so there were lots of interesting beachside caves to explore.

The fourth and last time I went, I was 17, and we did lots of fun and interesting things! We stayed with my grandparents in Epworth again, and it felt like the tiny town hadn't changed at all. We went to the lake district again and went on lots of cool hikes. After that we drove to Sheffield where our relatives are and stayed with them. My cousins and I went shopping in the Sheffield malls, and went to pubs together, and it was a blast!

I really hope I can visit them again in the future.

  • You sure did a lot more than I did when I went to England...makes me slightly jealous.

    Only slightly.
