You'd think after waiting this long...

...that I'd have something profound and important to say. Well, turns out I don't.

Welcome to my blog: the new dumping ground for the thoughts, wishes, neuroses and brief, intermittent sprinklings of wit. (Random bit of intermittent wit sprinkling #1: The acronym for this blog is ZAWBA. That is all.) I've got a few categories lined up when I decide to get more organised:

• Adventures in Pokéland: Anything I do involving Pokémon will go in here, from trying to fight the Unova Elite Four, to potential headaches in EV training to the times when I just want to throw the games out of the window of a moving car because I'm sick of them. If it has an e with an acute accent, then unless I'm speaking in French - which is a distinct possibility - it'll go in here.
• The Campaign Trail: If there's one thing I kinda love so much more than it is healthy for me to do so, it's award shows. LOVE 'EM! So much so that I'm an active member of, like, five different Oscar websites and a few more on the Emmys. Awards season doesn't really start up in earnest until the Cannes Film Festival, but after that, expect raving and ranting about how AMPAS, ATAS, the HFPA and all these other acronymic awards bodies are doing such a crap job and how I could be doing better. 'Cause if there's one thing this blog is for, it's giving me an unnecessary ego boost.
• Culture... meh!: If you're unfortunate to follow my Twitter account, then you'll know that I spend most of it giving snapshot reviews of TV shows and films that I've watched. I used to be the Arts Editor of my university newspaper, and since retiring from that position I've felt a strong urge to continue venting about all the cultural stuff I watch... so, here comes the venting! I'll probably put longer reviews of all my Twitter capsule reviews here, once a week, so enjoy!
• Random Ramblings: Anything else that doesn't go anywhere else'll probably end up here. My life's not massively stressful, fortunately, but if something eventful happens in it - online or off - then the good people at the PokéCommunity will be the first second... well, you'll hear about it eventually!

If you've read all this, I can only apologise for having wasted your time. In order to make up for it, I have a really nice entry planned for tomorrow that should show how PC has changed over the years...

I'm in the process of getting Energy Ball as we speak. In fact, the only type-move I don't have is a Bug one, as I sold my U-Turn TM that I could have given to Eelektross. Oh well...
