This might be really strange for people who haven't lived here, specially for all the Americans, who are really proud (mostly) of their country, specially today.
I have been enjoying this month because it was the first time since 2008 (the Euro Cup, go figure) you can go around waving the Spanish flag and declaring yourself proud of being a Spaniard without being called "fascist" by the first guy on the street.
Yeah. Hopefully the effects will last for a few days after our last match in the World Cup next weekend. But I seriously wish we could beat the damned historical predjuice we have been keeping for the last 40 years, and be finally proud of our country.
I can just wish.
