So my doctor's visit went okay.

  • It was very nerve-wracking but overall it went okay. Maybe. :s I had the actual appointment, had to get blood drawn to check for stuff (she thinks I might have thyroid problems?), and then went to get an x-ray on my ankle.

The doctor actually had no idea wtf was up with my ankle, which was the big point of my visit. So until I visit in two weeks I should be okay to work. However, they've gotten several other things that were wrong with me?
Apparently I have some sort of acid reflux at night, which mercifully I don't need meds for. I just have to make sure I don't drink sugary things 3 hours before bed. I should probably not eat that soon before bed either but that's a bad habit of mine. It does explain why if I eat/drink a whole crapton of sugar, my throat starts getting sore. You know, in addition to the bad diet.
I got a call this morning and I am apparently anemic too. Which actually shouldn't be too surprising because my diet sucks. I have to start taking meds for it and all I can think is "ffff I only get medication discount, this is gonna suck." Just as long as it's not, like, over $150 for some ungodly reason. It looks like it should be somewhat cheap. (I'm just still bitter about having to pay $18 for 3 days worth of 2 medications last time I got prescribed something...)

You know, I really should just eat less sugar and more fruits and vegetables. Or something like that. :p

So yeah. Not as bad as I'd thought. Although depending on my next paycheck, I may still have to pay my ER bill in 2 or 3 parts. Whoops.

EDIT: I totally forgot about the anxiety problems @__@ The doctor basically gave me 3 pages on it and told me that if problems pop up, to remove myself from the situation as best I can. Also, she hates medicating it if at all possible, which I agree with.

Again, changing my diet would probably help. I'm at least going to avoid caffeine the best I can. Last time I had it, I felt even worse.

  • Wow, man.. you and me both on the fact that changing our diet would be smart. ><; I wouldn't be surprised if I were anemic too. I.. don't think that I am? but yeah. -w-; It sucks that the doctors visit even had to happen in the first place, I hope things get better for you in the way of medical situations. :(

  • Honestly I don't really feel any adverse effects from it -- at least, not enough to notice that something is wrong with me. But I could've been anemic for years now and just accepted that whatever I was feeling was just how I am.

I'm hoping it gets better, too. It's stressing me out too much. I need to be able to sit back and chill; it'll probably take too long to heal if I keep freaking out like I am now.
