A Year of Funny Pictures: August 30th
On August 18th,- a special day occurred for me. Well, not just for me, but I digress. Anyways, last Thursday I had the lovely opportunity to spend a night out to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday with her and her family. I've always enjoyed being able to spend time with her family - as they are all super amazing people - and a night which I already anticipated to be good was fantastic to say the least.
Daily Music - "Message In A Bottle" by The Police
We started off the evening by going to a great outdoorsy Mexican restaurant in the city with a good majority of her family, as well as a close friend of hers whose 21st birthday was five days prior. Generally, because their birthdays are so close they enjoy planning a birthday party together so this was only part of their plan. Anyways, we got some great Mexican food, had a few bevs, and it was overall a very fun time to just sit down and relax with her family and share a few laughs. I ended up getting myself a beef burrito which was subpar at best, but the Blue Moon I had to accompany it helped salvage the meal. Blue Moon has been my go-to beer as of late, but I'm always open to new stuff here and there.

After the dinner, we ended up going to a cool paint night where my girlfriend was able to pick and decide what it was that we all were going to paint. The medium that was chosen was a elephant that looked like it had some kind of Indian influence on it. Not only was it her and I, but her whole family and friends came as well, making it a wonderful evening of cheers, alcohol, and art. I decided to go in a little bit of a different direction. I wanted to make myself a convict elephant with tattoos on it and for the most part, I think it came out alright. I was a little disappointed with the way the colors turned out in the end, but I'm still overall pretty pleased about it. I may go back and put some touch ups on it, but that's for another day.

Anyways, just wanted to wish my girlfriend again a very happy 21st birthday. I can't think what my life would be like without you, and I cherish every moment that I get to spend with you. Cheers to many more years of hilarious happenstances and good times to come! What about you guys? How did you spend your 21st birthday?
