2012 brings new things to discover as well as uncertainty about the future. It also brings more of that 2012 doomsday BS that has been running rampant the past few years, despite common sense and scientists actually proving that the predicted Mayan doomsday will not happen! But that still doesn't stop idiots like Discovery Channel, History Channel, Patrick Geryl and other morons from continuing to shove their doomsday shows and books down our throats!
Since the world will end in 356 days from now (we are in a leap year, so we have the 29th of February), I've decided to have my own fun with this "phenomenon". Don't worry, I'm not going to talk about how the earth will suddenly reverse its magnetic fields or anything like that. I lack the intelligence to make sense of that stuff.
The reason for this title if I'm not going to talk about 2012? A certain 80's song that critics think is probably the worst song in history.

Update on my Dad

Well, I should give a new update on how my Dad's doing these days.
In a nutshell, he's back to what he was before they discovered his leukemia. He's nearly back to full strength and doesn't need me to do certain things for him. The good news is that he's driving again. He "passed" a driving test when he drove with me and my Mom to an appointment with his cancer doctor, seeing if he can drive without problems.
Right now, they are going to do monthly chemo treatments on him, just to make sure it doesn't come back on us in the near future. His cancer doctor was amazed by the rate of his recovery so far. So that's good news for all of us.
His birthday was around 2 weeks ago and I gave him a Wal-Mart gift card so he can go buy some new Hillbilly music for himself. God, I hate that crap so much.

Hillbilly music is what I call Country music. I hated it ever since middle school when they would just play that stuff in the mornings. That's the last thing I wanted to hear in the mornings. All Country music is about dogs, hunting, love, death, guns, alcohol, pickup trucks and being all depressed!

I am so glad your Dad is doing so much better. That was a total scare...man having cancer is no laughing matter. I was glad they caught it early. Lol, Hillbilly music! I think I will join you on that. I don't like country either. There is no beat so you can't dance to it. I love to listen to music that has a beat.
