Ok i'll break up the posts to answer each bit individually

Pokemon TOA=ultimate.
And, if we can get all 4 regions (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and new region) made and make a new one each time another is made, we'd be the most played Pokemon game on the internet.

im sick of everyone adding features to this game which arnt in it

and its taking awhile just to add one.

like a Shiny Token (when used, makes any Pokemon n your party Shiny) could be $1 USD.

And we can have fun events like a christmas party, where you can get the Xmas Shroud (will make any berry tree of yours into a christmas tree) and presents that you can open on Christmas Day PKT.

Will you put in Global Chatting? It's in most MMOGs, but people can send dirty stuff on em.

Are you getting rid of Cut so that people won't cut through grass fields?

Cut was traditionally used to block progress in the single player game in order to complete a cronological series of advents
Currently cut will not feature in the game although may be added later

Idea for the Strength HM: If a character has not pushed a button for 3 minutes, you can use Strength to push 'em around. It'd be useful if a squad of people came and blocked a city.

The server will log any inactive users out
And you will find there are many ulternate routes to get to a certain place

Although there is the debate on eather or not to do the original routes of FR/LG/R/B/Y
or to completly renovate them for a mmo use

Both have advantages and dis advantages
If we stick to the original routes then it will give a strong pokemon feeling, but will not be as exciting as nothing is new we have all explorered thesse routes many times over

or we could completely renovate the routes based on the anime pokemon series
(much of this has alreayd been planed)

What WILL happen if someone blocks a major route? Can someone report them and the police officer send them away, or what?

Police will be monitering all routes
but there are many diffrent ways around a certain point and no one person could block a route it would take at least 30 ppl to block a route completely

And, what about battles, if someone with a level 100 pokemon forces a level 5 trainer to battle before passing?

We have a diffrent system and you will find i have answered this question many times in past posts
At first we were going to use a badge system were you had to have the same number of badges as your selected opponent to battle
But then not every player may wish to become a pokemon trainer.
So the new system is now based on your average pokemon lvl you are currently carring

i have a question if you are going kanto only in the beginning and you add the other regions if the game is going well how about for example in kant pokemon electabuzz is a non-evolving pokemon but in diamond an pearl it has a evolution what if i have a lvl 100 electabuzz in the game and the new diamond and pearl region(forgot the name) is add then i cant evolve it any longer (this isn't a good example because electabuzz evolves with an item but i dont know any other pokemon for examples)

We'll cross that bridge when we come to it

Not likely or we'll be facing copywright issues if we start making money of this and nintendo arnt

Advertising will be the main source on income but we'll be a non-profit orginisation

dude this game is made using the program Used for Universal Online did you ask Tayuke permission to use his program or are you Tayuke.

There are many more opensource mmo rpg makers out al lwith the same look and feel and really none of them are that great the only useful bit we found was the client server comunitcation functions
but yeah they all have there usfullness

How is the progress on this going? (Why can't I read?)

I cant give a perceantage beacause there really not accurate or even usefull
but i say we have just finished some huge systems
with only a hand full of small systems and nicities before the release and a general tidy up

You should make special pokemon like shinies like Blaziken_Boy said, but make them easier to find than in the real games, like pokemon crater for example. xD

Woah people settle down. Read the posts and you will see most of your answers right there in front of you. And, honestly, saying things, not even asking if they were there but really just "putting them in yourself" is really stupid. So now I can go and tell someone that I am the Sultan of Brunei or that Pokemon is actually Barbie with more features.

You should make special pokemon like shinies like Blaziken_Boy said, but make them easier to find than in the real games, like pokemon crater for example. xD

It's nice to see that the game is still going on. I was around when the game was just announced. but I didn't think it would still be alive till now. I'm very glad I was wrong though :D
And, if possible please, would you be able to compile a version of it for Linux? If all of it is made in C or C++ (which I think it is) with no Windows-only components, it won't be hard at all. I'm a coder too, and I can help with recompiling for Linux ;)

You can probably use WINE to emulate Windows to play this game. I don't think there's another way to use VB6 apps on Linux, since it uses the windows API a lot.

Trading back eliminates the whole point of trading..

Only if you want it back i suggest you trade for one of his or her equall leveled pokemon that way hes going to want his pokemon back too
or trade with a freind
or trade with someone whos just looking to full their pokedex

2. can you give an update for how everything is going

Well i just spent about 3 hours yesterday fixing some of the bitblt things
Im working on some more systems now with the item system at top priority atm
samson has just sent me a buch more GUI so now the games getting a feel too it

Other than that everythings going well
Hope to be done with the big systems by end of jan
and hipefully they will be free of as many bugs as i can find

I presume they aren't all in yet, as for the legendarys I think they are given away at special events/competitions.
