All the legendaries get easier. I remember in the older games, I would use at least 15 to catch a legendary, and they were sleeping with only 1 HP or something like that. Diamond and Pearl, it's so easy. Expected much more of a challenge and I got disappointed.
Palkia was the easiest. It's HP was half and I used two Dusk Balls before I caught it, even though it wasn't dusk.

I may be wrong but I think all those (except for Dialga and Palkia) have a catch rate of 3, which means they have the same difficulty to catch. Dialga and Palkia have 30, though, that's why they're easier to catch.

All it took for me to get Dialga was 1 Aura Sphere and an Ultra Ball... so he was the easiest for me

    Regigigas was hardest for me

I caught my Dialga with one Quick ball. First, try! Therefore, Dialga is my easiest caught.

well, it would have to be Rotom. oh, he's not a legendary is he?

it has to be Dialga. only took 5 turns, used a timer ball, and so it was caught.

Yes Shiny Umbreon you're right, the legendaries all have catch rates of 3 while Dialga/Palkia have 30. That explains why they're so easy to capture. As for the others... uhh... I think it's luck added to low HP and sleep. :P

In my first file for Pearl, it took me just one Ultra Ball for Palkia, one Ultra Ball for Azelf, about three to five Ultra Balls for Uxie...

Crazy Cresselia was so hard, but I made her sleep and HP really low... She kept running away from me until one time... the Quick Ball made it.

Mesprit? Somewhere between easy and hard focusing more on easy. I made it sleep and gave it really low HP, then used Mean Look on it (this was another encounter) and then used either Dusk or Quick Ball. Now I love catching Pokémon at night since the Dusk Ball will work 4x effectively in caves and at night.

Giratina nearly made me insane, though. How many Dusk Balls did I use on it...? 10?

Palkia was by far the easiest. It only took me one Ultra Ball. All I did was use use False Swipe until it had one HP, then I sent it to sleep, threw the ball and it got caught. Palkia and Dialga have the highest catch rate in that list. Their catch rate is 30, whereas the others only have a catch rate of 3.
