    I don't think we should quite end Ash's journey, since (I think) one of the main lessons of the Pokemon anime is that one's quest to be the best is never over.

    However, taking a break from Ash with a new character (Like with the short-lived Legend of Thunder series) would be welcome news to me. Especially if we had their story arc, and then they meet up with Ash and Co. for a special episode thingy.

    I think that the main character should be replaced every reigon. That would be easier for introducing new pokemon and stuff. But I think that Ash and other characters should travel together for a while, and pop up ever so often.

    Oh pleaseee, I freaking hate Ash but I wouldnt imagine him goin.
    Itd be better if they kept him cuz if they start changing the main characters too much, itll end up like Digimon (nothing against those really, just that they lost a part of their audience with every season they added) and will die quickly.
    The Anime is about Ash's journey afterall.

    Digimon is on it's 5th series, I doubt the that rating are bad as you claimed. If so, they wouldn't be Savers, now would there? :cheeky:

    If they got a new hero, it would just be an Ash clone, and that would suck.

    You are right, but it is nothing compared to how many fans there was during the first 2 seasons! Even then.. most of the remaning fans are still hooked to the first 2 haha
    Anyway, from what Ive seen!

    Getting rid of Ash as the main character would be like Digimon!

    What is Pokémon without Ash!
    What is Digimon without Tai!

    So what I am really saying is Ash is the star of Pokémon and it would loose it's touch if he became a Pokémon Master and left the show!!

    I've always imagined Ash still being a main character, but the lead being changed to a new character. Like maybe Ash teaches another person what he knows, sort of like becoming a mentor. He doesn't need to win a League to do this.

    Ash become a Master of anything? pffft....the only thing he ever mastered was shoe lace tying.

    Somehow, I don't think their just gonna have an episode one day that says "5 years into the future, Ash does something USEFUL....The End....Now, for the brand new spin off series! Jigglypuff's Mystery Cupcake"
