  • i like time travel better. It at least explains the beginning of time. Also, Arceus would be in an infinte loop of time, and therefore be immortal. That's pretty friggin Godly.

That's cool. Like you said in the other post.
Maybe the other Serebii in the movie are the same Serebii, but they "cloned" them by time travel. You know, going back in time and meet yourself. So maybe there is only one Serebii after all.

  • legends about pokemon are things people made up to explain stuff a perfect example in rl is the Kracken, in old tales it destroy ships and is "godly" for lack of better word where in reality its just a big mysterious squid, that is relativly rare to see. the same goes with pokemon, those ancient legends were used to explain it in the old days, an example in your post is latias's pkdex entry, legend says invisibility but study has proven it reflects light in certain ways, Mewtwo was created to be the most powerful pokemon thats why its stronger. Kyogre and Groudon didnt creat land and sea, those species just have a rivalry and if thet did create land and sea then where did they fight to begin with? Legends about legendaries are just old tales. Also, these "theories" differ from area to area because of culture for example kanto an hoenn say that pokemon came from another planet where as sinnoh says arceus created all. they contridicict just like differant north american tribes believe in differant spirits. really these pokemon arent godly or legendary. there just rare and not much was known back when they were thought up. But, just like in our world there are things science cant explain, deja vu, premonitions (freaky when you meet som1 in a dream an later on in real life) , and ghosts. they all exist ive seen 2/3 but science has no stand on that. things like celibis time travel in pokemon are similar. Thats the only one i cant explain with a theory.

I've always wondered what humans do in the Pokemon world. There are many kinds of creatures. They are all called Pokemon except one race that is called humans. But in Diamond Version, I've heard, there is a library and a book says once human and Pokemon were one and the same and they married each others.

  • i read a post about legendaries breeding but the only breeding we can do with pkmn is at a daycare, they might need certain uncommon conditions to breed and to explain the genderless pokemon, asexual, reproduction without a mixing of dna.

    LOL.

Okay, so legends are just legends.

Since most of us agree, we should bring up some "fantastic" things that have happened in Pokémon and try to explain them logically.

  • Pikachu has definitely learned more than 4 moves simultaneously in the anime. This is completely logical, because Ash's Pikachu is obviously better than all my hard-earned Pokemon :<

  • yea the anime kind of defies all Pokemon laws. How about the fact that Mew can use silly TMs, like Steel Wing? I guess an explanation would be he uses psychic energy to make a wing of steel, but wouldnt that make him allpowerful?

  • Hmm after reading a few posts I came up with this idea(Back to Greek speculation).
Maybe Arceus is meant to represent Zeus, therefore whoever created its egg would have to be Kronos(Zeus's father).

    So Kronos's(??? base) children:
    Poseidon(Manaphy base)
    Hades(Giratina base)
    Hera(Mew base?)
    Zeus(Arceus Base)

    Hmmm..they fit somewhat.What about Shaymin, though?A priest to Arceus?[gratitude]

  • eternalglory, Mew with TM's wasn't what I was thinking about either.

OK. I'll set the example. How do we explain Kyogre controlling the rain and Groudon the sunlight (aside from the ocean and land). What happened in Emerald wasn't normal, not even with magic. I mean, strong sun and rain simultaneously?

  • thats just something unexplainable. how about if arceus is on a platform in the sky, wouldnt the char notice? Why doesnt he just fly up?

We're not talking about that, please. The thread is about legendaries' power. We'll discuss the supposedly mythical powers they are said to have.

So, about Kyogre and Groudon. You can't just say "that's just something unexplainable". If you haven't read the rest of the posts, it's almost a conclusion that legends are not really as supernatural as people say. So now I presented this case to help this theory. If we can find an explanation, it'll support our theory.

I think Groudon absorbs what's around it (like in the 6th movie it absorbed the energy of a whole forest). So the reason there is drought is that the Pokemon absorbs water and what's wet. And if it's not wet, then it's dry and that's drought. Are you sure it's the sun shining, and not just an effect that's the same as if there were strong sunlight? I don't remember, maybe the game said "sun shines" or something when Groudon is in battle.
