I second the motion to bring Misty back.
She beat me 5 times in Stadium 2 before I won (using Rentals) so she's obviously good.

Agree with everyone so far. I think we will see a return soon. After HGSS... theres bound to be a cameo with Misty involved.

You know, I heard from a fellow Misty Fan on Waterflower World Forums that Misty's Seiyuu, Mayumi Iizuka, may end up reprising her role as Misty, as her singing career did not do so well.

Of course, we still need a legitimate source before we can reach out final verdict on whether it is true, but it does seem likely, as Mayumi Iizuka had considered Misty to be her favorite character.

Basically, this is the thing that this Misty fan, Semidos, found that implicates at a possible return to the main cast:

Yes she is coming back, there was an interview with Mayumi Izuka((her Japenese voice actress)) and said shes coming back as a main character.

This is happening because there was a petition actually alot of petitions to bring misty back...so they decided that she will come back in the middle of the 11th season.

But the only thing is in Japan they want Mayumi Izuka to do the voice acting for Misty. She has to agree to it first. It wouldn't be fair to have Misty in America and not in Japan.

The whole reason Misty left in the first place is because Mayumi Izuka wanted to go sing and be a singer. So thats the real reason why MIsty left. And again it wouldn't be fair for America to have her and not Japan.

You know how Brock has been there like the whole time? ((Except Orange Islands but we won't count that)) Thats how Misty would have been. She would have been there the whole time like Brock, but Mayumi Izuka had to go be a singer. They would have still traveled with May and dawn ((and dare I say it Max too)) but Misty would have been there too.

But her singing career didn't go so well so now she is pretty much ready to do Misty again.

Granted, there are minor errors on here (namely her appearing on Season 11, though then again, She did technically appear in that season [as she was in the opening along with May and Gary]), but it still seems a bit accurate.

I'll be sure to edit this post as soon as I find out the source for this.

    EDIT: Source found!

:) So that is the reason why she left...I hope for the best and I hope for her return to be well worth it even though I have to listen to the new actors and actresses. I miss the old ones because they are who I grew up with...

Well, partially, that's the reason, thoug Masamitsu Hidaka did hint that another reason they replaced her was for eyecandy/sexual fanservice purposes.

I don't trust him. He can give us wrong information. I believe that Mist will return in main cast after Sinnoh League.

Hey, I don't trust him either (especially after that little lie he and his writing staff told to 4Kids in regards to Ash's father), but seeing how they never replaced Brock despite his getting stale, as well as May's overall looks, I pretty much guessed it long before he "confirmed" it.

Hi Misty. I really believe that you will come back, my little brother (11 years old) either. He says that new episodes without Misty are worse and boring. I stopped enjoying Pokemon after you left, but my brother stopped watching and he watch only older episodes. See ya soon Misty in anime.

In fact, those who DID quit watching are quite a large group but it seems like not too many were those who participated in TV ratings polls. Not only this but even some of the die-hard Pokemon anime fans will admit that the show did loose one thing when Misty got the boot, its sophistication but I see it as loosing more than just that. And yet another die-hard Pokemon anime fan admitted that May alienated the show's female audience for a very large part for being overly girly and Dawn is getting quite close to that point as well it seems. I personally have been following the show's ratings in Japan and they are not too impressive. Its quite rare to see the show score over a 5.9% on them and it only happens on gym battle episodes it seems with contest episodes getting even less of an improvement. Not as much as the contest episodes used to but still noticeable though. I have said it before and will say it again, all signs point to bringing back Misty and giving her the emerging Pokethlon as a goal as a very logical thing. Like contests, it can be stretched out over a long period of time and it sounds quite a bit like something she would do and has in the fifth Pokemon movie but then again Misty also participated in something which was in some ways similar to a Pokemon contest but it was really more like a combination beauty pageant (for the trainers) and Pokemon battle tournament. Despite what some seem to say it actually is possible to return Misty to the main cast, give her the Pokethlon role, and have her find redemption in those who hate her for doing "nothing" while at the same time giving the show something new as its growing dangerously stale. I think that the Pokethlon would actually help Misty achieve her ultimate and so far unfulfilled goal of being a water Pokemon master and it would also help the writers find redemption in and win back Misty's alienated, shunned, and almost completely forgotten (by the writers at least) fan base.

does anyone have a link to the actual interview?

no offense Weedle, but I'm not incredibly trusting of Yahoo answers :P

Well, according to that user, the interview was on TV, apparantly for the 10th Anniversary, so it would be difficult to track down.

    And none taken, BTW.

I am Misty thanks for wanting to bring me back so much XD

You're welcome, and thank you for supporting our efforts to bring her back.

I quite agree with all what you said, anyway we must wait for it at least 5 months. It's harsh.

Waiting five months would almost be torture for me but in the end it might be for nothing again. That explains why I hate the decisions that the Pokemon anime staff have been making and why my approval of them is a dismal 0% and has been for a long time. Cartoon Network is the same way, I have a feeling that it too will be run into the ground at some point since ironically enough the cable station airing Pokemon is run just as badly as the company making the show in the first place. Both companies need to learn a lesson about listening to what their viewers REALLY want and acting upon it especially since viewership and in the end ratings are king in deciding which TV shows come and go and which TV networks survive and die.

They can't just give the viewers everything they want, though. if they did, it would completely suck ass.

I don't think Nickstr or Semidos were saying they wanted absolutely everything they want on the Show to be placed on there (Which, to be honest, if they did give absolutely everything they wanted in regards to the show, then the show would include more bad things such as pole-dancings and M rated material. Maybe have all of the characters be womanizers, to make it even worse.). They just said they should have listened to the fans, and try to bring Misty back.

The only things I want on the show (other than Misty returning, removing Brock due to his being a bad influence, or removing Dawn and erasing May from existance for reasons similar to Brock should he be removed, and removing FAS's altogether.) are a proper explaination on what exactly is a Pokemon Master in the Anime, exactly how they can achieve it (IE, the goal parameters, the exact steps one must take to become a master, the very nature of the goal, etc, etc.), and certain factors about certain characters explained (IE, What the heck happened to Misty's Parents, Where is Ash's Dad [don't say he's dead, because the way that Delia Ketchum referred to Ash's dad implies that he's still alive.], and where did Tracey originate from, as well as who is his family?).

Besides, if they wish not to listen to our suggestions of bringing back Misty, they shouldn't have listened to our suggestions to bring Brock back, either.
