    1. Pixel clutters is a big no-no.
    2. Too much black outlines is a big no-no.
    3. Read some guides before attempting to scratch.
    4. Your best right now is the fourth one.
    5. Don't use the default MSPaint colors.

Well, I think the outlines and shades need improvement a lot.
I mean, thick outlines aren't any good. Plus, only dark/black outlines make is look worse, too. Lots of the sprites look flat, if you ask me. Shading needs help. You need to know where your light source is. And, I dunno if it's me, but maybe you need better ideas, but that's just me saying that.

That line is to show that it is turning its body to look back at the player (i think).

And 07harris check out the tutorials by skeddles it will help with your outlining and shading

Hey 07harris, the main problem is the outline is too thick and jagged. They're not bad, though.
The newer ones are a big improvement. Just keep going and you'll become a spriting master someday!

Some, I noticed, didn't have an outline at all at the light areas. In Pokémon sprites outlines are vital, even if they're light. In most official sprites you can see the outline clearly, but it still looks good. May I suggest looking at official sprites and compare them to your own? Just an idea. They're not bad. I didn't say that. But some of them need a little texture, and different colors.

They are good for a new spriter . Here's a tip to get inspiration . See the Pokemon Acanthite pokedex in Games Development section . It has got the best fakemon ever .

Your designs are very lacking and look nothing like pokemon for the most part. Try fleshing out each character and include little details and designs to the overall character. Most official pokemon use two or more different colors with a couple shades to each color, by using your colors and designs wisely you will be able to make a sprite both interesting and appealing. You linearts need to also be cleaned up, take your time no one is rushing you! If you find while you are spriting that you are getting annoyed, take a break, you can always come back to it and work on it.

I don't think your fakemon really capture the style of the sprites in the pokemon games. You might want to use an official sprite to refer to how they're made.
