ok im going to make a quick mini review of the game so far.

The Good
-I like the concept of having legends for starters, a similar thought to an idea I had when I was younger, except it was with the legendery birds.
-nice challenging feel it the game, the balance was good without being overwhelming

The Bad
-its very GLITCHY. for one, I cant change my team unless I use the save file on the original Firered, which is saddening. there is a house in the second city you enter that will crash your game if you try to enter it, which detracts a bit. the scripting needs a bit of work as well. I was able to walk past team Calypso's hideout, even though you set up a barrier script. the single trainer 2 on 2 battles, athough is a nice concept, is glitchy, with opponents having extra HP and still fighting after theyve run out if heath.

-the dialogue needs some work, take out the smileys, and put in punctuation and spelling properly.

so far it has potential, but the glitches are holding it back from being fun. im waiting on the next release.

YAY! As usual, you've done an outstanding job and I can see lots of effort were put into these. Just one question though. Are those 2 designs of the same sprite?

No, the palette is just the same (16). But the female one does look a bit weird to me, too...like the up-looking ones are tall, lol

Edit: Eh, I meant the battlesprite. For some reason I call them all sprites.. Fail I know lol.

Note: there is a pretty fatal glitch, if you leave the room with the old lady before speaking to her after you choose your starter, she disappears.

This is easily fixed as I can just make it so you can't leave the room. I'm evil like that :P

Wha..? You can script? Awesome :D I'd prefer for all the kinks to be worked out in the current beta before I continue working on the next.
