Well it obviously wans't the same, but it doesn't really bother me. I think it's great to have more Pokemon and new trainers, I think, it makes more entertaining and fun.

I personally love the game, nothing like the original one but it brings back good memories with my Gameboy Color <3.

It's not a complete copy of the game, it's remade and updated. So you can expect all the new features that are in the game, plus any new Pokemon/evolutions that should be expected from the Pokemon that are already established in that game.

But I'll admit it scared me a bit to find Girafarig around the Lake of Rage.

I really don't see why your 'nerve-racked' about this, these were not meant to be a complete carbon-copy of G/S/C. I love G/S/C, but if they had been a total carbon-copy of G/S/C I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much.

Why? There have been Girafarig from there before, or not? ._.

As far as I recall, I found them there before.

What do you mean by this, I'm confused. Girafarig has always been around the Lake of rage, even in the GSC games?

And to the point of the thread, I agree with Aero, plus we needed connectivity to the DPPT games so it really NEEDED to contain these 3rd and 4th gen pokemon.

Having third and fourth gen pokemon is fine IMO but they should only appear once you've completely beaten the story (After Red)

    >.< Silly me! You're absolutely correct.

It's just, I started in Gen III, so to me, Girafarig is Hoenn, even though it was originally in Johto, and finding them here... I wasn't expecting it.

It's just me. Nothing to worry about. Move on, move on...

I'm fine with the new Pokemon. It's just the 4th generation GAMES (with the exception of HG) I'm not keen on.

I'm gonna get a whole load of pokes from my brother's Pearl hopefully once I get to the catching 'em all stage :D

it's just a game. they aren't supposed to be a complete copy of the games people would have hated that. And i guess your one of those "I hate 3rd and any further gen" people.
She's right though... Pearl/Diamond/Platinum Pokemon aren't a patch on the first two games, bar Luxray (ofc). That's not to say I don't mind the new Pokemon in the game.. I can live with them.

And I guess you're one of the "I love all Pokemon and don't care about anyone elses opinion" people... no need to bash the person, she only gave an opinion.

I Think having the 3rd and 4th Gen pokemon in the Game is great, Because like,

What if You are so Used to having Certain pokemon in your Party, that you want to start fresh with.
:S Idk if you understand what im saying.
    Here's an Example:

Luxray - I Love having Luxray in my Party, It was my "Starter" in Diamond.
Once i got it, I used hardly any other pokemon.

Once i got Heart gold. Traded a Low level pokemon[luxray's first evolve, Can't remember, Soo tired. D:]
To my HeartGold. and leveled it to Luxray and everything on my Game.
So basically, I started with LOW levels like i would have in HeartGold Originally, But i just used the pokemon i could only Catch in Diamond if i wanted to start with them.

No need to bash anyone's opinions. Please respect what others have to say about the 3rd and 4th Generation Pokémon in the GSC remakes, some may like it others may not. :\

I kind of figured the newer generation of Pokémon would have been included though. Seeing as it was done after obtaining the Nat. PokéDex in FRLG I wasn't surprised to see them brought into HG/SS. It is a little bit earlier than before as trading between DPPt and HG/SS can be done after receiving the PokéDex, but it does give players a chance to use a more diverse team if that's what they plan on doing.

Then again, I wouldn't have liked HeartGold or SoulSilver to be an exact copy of the originals either. A remake is called for some changes and updates to progress what was done before and keep it modern to what has been made since. So, it alters the game a bit, which I don't mind too much. At least for the most part, the game is still the same. It isn't like a change in plot or something major had been changed.

...Seeing as this thread revolves around an upset to the involvement of the newer generation Pokémon though, I'm going ahead and merging this to the complaints thread.

I think it's good that they did the remake like that. It's not supposed to be exactly like the games they're remaking. That wouldn't be fun =/ Anyway, I think it's more fun that they didn't completely copy the old version and add nothing but smaller pixels. =D

Merged your angry thread on the PokéWalker with the Complaints thread. I figure if anyone else feels the same way about the device they can just complain about it here instead of making a whole new thread for it.

Me? I still have yet to use it. /sigh

I was a bit disappointed when I heard it was going to be the same. I was hoping that maybe they'd change the Frontier Brains a little too, even if it were just appearance-wise. I'm sure we'll see a new one in the 5th gen games though, so that's something to look forward to.
