5th Gen Team Plasma Discussion

i hope it isnt as much like galactic because it seems like that...
i am liking their battle theme and knights were completely unexpected. But i wish they looked more like real knights with a helmet on their face and more armor. so right now they look too much like costumes instead of actual armor.

I actually think that the commanders are going to be in some sort of armor. Maybe not a full knight suit, but something. I mean all we have seen are a few "bishops," the "king," and grunts. Naturally the grunts weren't going to be in full suits hence the chain mail they wear.

that's a good thing. I couldn't imagine a grunt w/ an extra 25-50 lbs of weight on him making a quick get away. :D

I wonder if they will show N's mother if his Father is the king there must be a Queen...I want a powerful Queen!

It would be nice if there was a queen, but idk if there will be one. Maybe just princesses. It would be a neat jolt to the storyline though if the queen was dead. Say before she died the king, plasma, N, and S were all at peace w/ one another, then aftewards is when all mayhem broke loose.

everybody in Isshu takes their work seriously. You saw those salarymen in the first video released zooming past the character, didn't you? Trying to get to work on time!

Not necessarily. Maybe S is just against their methods of liberating Pokemon. My guess is that S first quit because he saw that while their intentions may be good, Team Plasma would stop at nothing to accomplish their goal.

Or in an even more bizarre twist, the King lied to everyone about want to liberate Pokemon from humans and in reality he wants to control all of Isshu because without any Pokemon to help defend the region it would be easy to take over. But perhaps S found out the truth which led him to quit.

Lastly, (and this is purely speculation on my part) I'm guessing N looked up to his brother. S could have shown his brother that Pokemon are really friends. After S leaves, N could start to doubt Team Plasma's intentions and quits after the supposed incident I posted a few posts earlier, wanting to still help Pokemon because of what his brother taught him.

what role would Zekrom and Reshiram play in all of this? I mean I'm guessing in black the goal will be to rid Isshu of its industrialized base and bring back nature (thus Reshiram being in it), and vice versa for white. That would mean that theory of yours w/ the king trying to liberate Isshu of pokemon could work in one version.
He could be trying to deceive both sides at once though. In each version trying to bring back the natural world of steam forward w/ more industrialization only to betray once things are going his way.

I think N and S are bros, and the girls (E and W?) are their sisters, and they each have some play agianst Plasma, lead by their father. Isshu is now a lot like Oz; XD. And I would think the admins are like chess pieces, the grunts being pawns.

Actually I was thinking that Either one of the girls could be S's wife...or the Queen of Team Plasma...

Well that does seem sorta likely, but the pictures made them look sorta youngish, which is what led me to think the were all siblings. Plus, naming them all N, S, W, and E (like north/south/east and west) like it seems would be more siblings than mix a mother/wife in the question. But maybe S/W/E are Plasma admins?

I don't think so...Maybe they are cousins, W and E are sister and S and N are brothers...also the S thing is a rumor so far so it's not proven that he is real yet...

Just a note, if you're going to discuss N (& E/S/W), do so here. Speculating whether N is apart of Plasma is best suited there, too (since I believe it's still just a rumour). Let's keep this thread for what you think Plasma as a whole will do and their aims.

Yes, I know the new team can be discussed at the New Trailer Thread, but I feel there should be a thread where we can discuss more indepth about Team Plasma. Also there should be more info about them sooner or later.

Finally, after waiting for quite sometime, it's confirmed that the new team will be Team Plasma and they're shown from the trailer Oha Suta played. For now we don't know too much about their plans, goals, etc., although most likely it'll be dealing with getting Reshiram and/or Zekrom. Liking though they seem to go for the medieval vibe. Then again, I'm a medieval nut. XD

So, any thoughts, speculations, wild ideas about the team for the time being? :P *gets shot for likely bad pun*

I like the idea behind them but I do not like what they look like.

Just read TV Tropes page for Black and White. Its about as long as HeartGold/SoulSilver's. And the games have been out for 24 hours.

On topic: I think that Team Plasma is the first second truly villianious Team. I'm really looking forward to this. Their like Fire Emblem meets Pokemon.

Well, since Isshu is the furthest away region, it is obvious that the characters are going to look wild and wacky compared to the old characters, I'm not sure what they remind me of, but they seem a little anonymous, I don't have much detail on them since I've only encountered them once ingame though.

I think Team Plasma = Pokemon Communists. Great ideology, too bad it doesn't work in reality (at least in the Pokemon world reality). That's why there are so many FBI agents around Isshu staking out the team.

Or maybe Team Plasma is the Pokemon equivalent of PETA.
