  • So, Pokemon X and Y Forum, I come to you once more for answers. Ever since I passed Route 13, Which hold the Kalos Power Plant, one thing has been bugging me quite a bit. To the left of the Badlands, there is the standard Power Plant that you visit during a normal play through, and then to the left of the field we have several buildings in the distance and doors THAT DO NOT OPEN. What are they for????? Do they have no purpose at all, and are simply decor? Does ANYBODY have any idea on this? Please tell me and put me to rest!

  • People here speculate that team Flare also used the three secret legendary to fulfill their plan, but something went wrong and they had to lock those pokemons inside, seem very likely in my opiniom.

The suspicion going around is that the Power Plant doors are used to house the three legendaries. This however seems unlikely to me. None of them are Electric type, so none would be at home in a power plant setting.

    Here's a theory I came up with.

  • I never even considered the doors meant any thing until now... i always thought they were just puzzle like things until you find the right door, however now that i think of it that seems unlikely. I think they are... (dunh dunh dunuuunh) Pokemon DLC. now think with the 3DS Nintendo has put allot of its games with DLC (Fire emblem, Pokemon mystery dungeon, exe.) i don't think they will leave out one of there biggest hand held games to the DLC mix, and doors that won't open are the best spot to throw in some DLC missions.

Isn't one of the buildings like Thermal energy. Volcanion the Fire/Water Pokemon?
Hmm, that could make sense. Back to my idea, two doors lead to nothing, and the final door unlocks to find the legendary at that time.

But let's assume each door was one legendary. Diancie is Rock/Fairy typing; I can't see this fitting a power plant. Hoopa might work out in a shut-down section of the power plant as a Ghost/Psychic.

One thing i saw was that one door could lead to a ore mining facillity, where diancie lives.

Hmm. Maybe they do house all three legendaries after all. Which one would be Hoopa?

  • This is something that has been pestering me for a while now. What are behind those locked doors? The theory of the three legendary Pokémon being kept there as failed plans of Team Flare seem slightly plausible but it also feels like it's just a coincidence that the number of doors and Pokémon match up. Plus, it wouldn't be as fun if the three of them were all located within the same area.

Obviously one will contain a Mega Stone for Pikachu.
No one knows, really. Maybe some future DLC or hidden event legendary.
Hey, you never know about that mega stone!

If I recall correctly, GameFreak has already stated that they have no plans to upload DLC for X and Y.

  • They hold Cthulus ancestors behind the doors. Lol, Jkjk tho that'd be cool. No here's what i think I think that they might just be added in to keep us guessing or hold some kind of event. Now, if only someone knew how to walk through walls and find out. Tho they might not find anything, but the pokemon or objects might be programed behind the doors already, who knows.

  • Let's hope they do something with them, koffi~

I hope it's something that can't be missed, like an update, and not a wi-fi download. Those things suck for everyone. Let's hope we get something cool for our waiting. I'll bet we'll see something about them in December, koff~

    DUDE I WANT CTHULHU'S ANCESTORS.

Anyways, they may just be random places disguised as locked power plant doors and they're like that friggin creepy hotel in canalave in D/P/PT you need a certain item to unlock them.

I'd like hoopa to be in the scary house please.

  • Well, these are all great idea, so thanks. Maybe in Pokemon Z (If there will be one) these other power plants are going to be available, so they put them in the background of X and Y so when they add the location it won't be such a drastic change. I mean, if the three weren't there in X and Y and suddenly they just appear out of no where in Z, it would be kinda weird. (Unless of course there is a large time gap between the games)

  • But team flair didn't operate the power plants they just invaded the one to steal energy. I dont see a story line involving them housing a legendary in the plant because that would mean that us as protagonist did a sucky job at eradicating them and the whole region did a sucky job for recognizing it. Even worse the whole HR department should be fired for not noticing the workers missing and the facility's being locked for the countless days it took for Nintendo to release the event... I am rambiling. I could possibly see a team flair scientist returning to the plant to try and harvest more energy and it causing a disturbance that could trigger legendary confrontation. I don't see hoops being involved. I don't see hoops being worth a crap either on a side note. Unless it has outrageous defenses that 4x dark 4x ghost weaknesses will make this thing useless
