Who thinks that Shifty will get a mega evolution?

I do. It's one of those Pokemon who could use the boost unlike the Pseudo legendaries and the legendaries who are already strong.

I say Raichu because we need to remember that in one of the last trailers, they showed Pikachu evolving through it's entire line. Pichu ---> Pikachu ---> Raichu.

They never show Pichu or Raichu. It is true that they could possibly be because of Pika Forms, but I do not see why that would need to show Pichu evolving all the way through Raichu. You could consider it grasping at straws, but to me, I find it odd how they go through the whole line when Pikachu is the mascot of pokemon.

Mega-Gross has a Mouth now? Did he ever have a mouth before? Also, Looks so much better in-game than on paper.

Tough Claws is not enough to make him as good as he was in Gen4+5. With his Ghost and dark Weaknesses... He needs a big bump in defense to compensate.

That speed though... He is like a whole new Mon. No telling what he will do!

What would a "BALANCED" Mega-Metagross look like?

Well, to be fair, Aegislash has the same weaknesses and is being suspected. Yes it has kings shield and better stats(atm but mega gross will likely hit harder)
It only needs to reach base 110 to wreck ou, as it would wreck most of OU with a toughclaws boost and being base 110. And if Yato prediction is right and it does get heavy slam, well, let's just say GG xD. It really only needs to outsized Scarf Tyranitar(who likely won't OHKO) and Bisharp. I would say sand rush/scarf Excadrill but thaya asking alittle to much

Speculation could run for countless weeks about Mega Zangoose/Seviper, Lunatone/Solrock, Plusle/Minun, but I don't really think any of them will actually get Megas in ORAS. In fact, I don't see more than four or five revealed for the remakes. In later generations, anything's possible. d:

I'm all for keeping the number of new Megas limited, even if it means no Mega Milotic. Plus, there's a good chance quite a few of the old Megas will be available before post-game, so to have even more miiiight be overkill XD Besides, as was stated, there's always the possibility of more being added in later games~

Well, everything that was high priority got a mega on the trade mark list got a Mega. Except Plusle/Minun and Jynx(Groundon and Kyogre were on.there too, but they got animals which atm seem to be the same thing). These could have been trademarked to stop fans from adding them into roms or something, but I highly doubt that.

I expect GF to make as much Megas for ORAS as they did XY. Or at least have the same number of stones as XY introduced. Let's see if it's the latter we got Aggron, Gardevoir, Banette, Gyarados, Blaziken, Sceptile, Swampert, Diancie, Sableye, Mawile, and Metagross. Now how many did XY introduce again?

There are 28 Megas in XY, but there were 26 Pokemon that received Megas. Also, there's a chance the Latis' Megas will be officially revealed, either in CoroCoro/some other Pokemon news source or in the games themselves, so that's two more new Megas.

Thanks, forgot those 2. If I got them all listed then it's 13. So perhaps 15 more Megas. Perhaps the scoop will have the Latis and four others making it 17 Megas.

Yep, it has eight limbs. I think by now you should have checked it out but I will leave a picture depicting them anyway.

You can see that it has 4 smaller limbs on it's back.

Here you can notice up to seven you can see it's noticably bigger frontal limbs and can see up to three of it's posterior limbs which are notably smaller.



Hmmm... I think they should do a minimum of 15 megas in OR/AS and a maximum of 30 megas. I think it would be interesting to see the Johto starters get megas since they are a reward in emerald for compliting the pokedex. But really I don't know. They should concentrate on gen 3 and 2 megas. If we don't get some expected Megas we still have X and Y's sequal. So we can expect some to be there. However I think they should do gen 4, 5 and 6 in the upcoming third version. Megas that should atleast be in OR/AS are mega Seviper and mega Zangoose and I think that Solrock and Lunatone, Salamance, Flygon, Camerupt, Sharpedo, uuu, imagine a mega Wailord now it's size would be scary. Reli.. well no, maybe if primal regression extends beyond the weather trio it should have it. Shiftry I guess and Ludicolo well... Idk. Plusle and Minum were trade marked right? I guess it's a possibility we get those. Nintendo surprise me and make a mega Raticate in Hoenn where of all regions it's so pertinent.

Or third version...

I think 'Z' (or X2 Y2...or simply Z as the sequel without any other if they go with sequels) will focus on Gen V and VI megas so Hoenn should focus on Gen I-IV Megas (with the Gen IV getting Megas being the likes of Gallade, Froslass, Roserade, ect).

Hoopa gaining a Mega would be nice because it has a bad defensive dual typing (two 4x weaknesses to common attacking types, orz) and low Speed. Dunno about Volcanion; I'd be interested to see what its Mega would look like, though.

Hoopa can be faster and gain more special attack. I expect it's event to be in the Void which had Bannetite.

Tbh, if Mega Volcanion does become a thing, and it gets a boost in speed and sp attack, I think it will likely be banished to Ubers. It's steam eruption is to crazy xD.

Probably. It has three weaknesses: Rock, Ground, and Electric.
Two of those it can take down with it's water moves... and most Rock and Ground types aren't speedy so with a boost in speed it'll be able to take down the fast ones too...
So Zekrom would be the ultimate counter for it if it does head to Ubers...

Too all those who say that the number of Mega Evolutions should be limited - why? To preserve the rarity? I think more Megas would be pretty cool, especially if they don't give them all to the popular Pokemon, as it'll help a lot of underused Pokemon become more useful.
