Thanks for fixing that issue with the tower, I delivered the letter without any issues.

However, I ran into another issue. I went into rock tunnel to collect the rocks for the fake gym and fought a wandering Geodude. After I defeated it, it stuck around and walked into my character. I then went to get the other rocks and fought that same Geodude 4 or 5 times. Shouldn't that Geodude disappear after you defeat it?

Edit: There also seems to be an issue with the cop on Route 5 after the Idris breakout. After defeating him, he vanishes into thin air, but then respawns and has you battle him every time you see him.

Edit2: Found another oddity. I started the Power Plant mission with Idris and went inside the power plant. After the dialogue, my character said that he doesn't have a lieutenant and walked outside the Power Plant. I then walked back into the plant, and could walk around.

Edit3: There's another issue in the Power Plant, I walked forward and triggered the Voltorb fight (near the entrance). I used my Gastly's Hypnosis to put one of them to sleep, and Idris said "You're doing it wrong!". The move timers for everyone reset and froze the battle, so now I can't do anything.

Working on Sidequests, new person in Pewter, and new person in Fuchsia. Edited the ledges near Cerulean, they currently only let you through after plot check 21, I want to shift that to 17.
    Still need to:
Add in end-game dialogue for Rockets
Do that one last Redra sidequest (after that event that makes her sad)
Do that one last Idris sidequest (with Mewtwo)
Run through the game from the beginning, I want to test out the full evil route now that it's finished and make sure it feels complete. Also need to test power curve.
Still need about 8 more Recruits. Once they're all in I can also include them more in main stuff/sidequests

Geodudes and Zubat in that cave won't disappear, since there are no other wild encounters. They'll pause for a few seconds and then attack you again
The cops near Cerulean, Rt 5 and and Rt 4, will also respawn. I'll add in some dialogue for them to tell the player that.

I'll test out the PowerPlant and see what's happening. Thanks for letting me know!

Thanks, hope you enjoy another run through!

  • Hey! Just starting another run of your hack. It's awesome because I've always been interested in evil team hacks.

I do have a question: how many mutagens are there in the game? Is there a limit? Because genetically-enhancing Pokémon is so much fun! *evil grin*

Progress: Holidays are hectic, I'm back from the grave.
Fixed the Power Plant issue with Idris, I'll need to patch soon.
I've also updated the Walkthrough on the first page. It should give you some advice up to reaching the End Routes.

There is a limit to the Mutagens! There should be one in each city area

I'm glad you like the sidequests! I like making them.

This project is amazing! I really love the character portaits
Thanks!! Character portraits are a lot of fun.

new game plus vulpix didn't evolve with fire stone
Hm, that's strange. Can you give me more details? Was it a mutated Vulpix? What area did you try it in? Was there any kind of message that appeared on the screen, or did it just... not work?
Did you lose the Fire Stone in the process?

it was in the beginning, I got vulpix in game corner, went to celadon, bought the fire stone , attached it onto vulpix, he ate it I guess , it made the noise of eating it. and no evolve....Pikachu however worked evolving to raichu with the thunderstone if that helps

    Bugs:

    • None of my Pokemon can equip either the Dire Hit or Amulet Coin accessories. and my Spliced Golbat cannot equip Black Sludge (it should still be a Poison type, right?).
    • In Pokemon Games, Swagger normally affects an opponent, not the user.
    • Re-entering the back room of Bill's House after seeing the event there causes the screen to turn black and stay that way unless you reset the game.
    • When receiving the first Game Corner Pokemon (for stealing 20 Pokemon), if you say No before saying Yes, the selection process will repeat, allowing you to get another Pokemon. This can happen multiple time, so you can easily get all 3 Pokemon this way. However, the game only allows you to mutate the last Pokemon you picked.
    • The Fossil Pokemon do not appear on the Skill Tracker or Mutation list. The first one is definitely a bug, but are they capable of being mutated, or is it like Hitmonlee/Hitmonchan?
    • Similar to above, the Pokemon received after submitting 50 Stolen Pokemon to the Game Corner does not appear as a visible option when selecting a Pokemon to mutate. It is an option, right below Chansey, but it is not visible as being an option.
    • My "Stolen Pokemon" count does not add up properly. I have submitted 40 to the Game Corner, and have 20 in my Inventory, but the game says I only have 58 Stolen. The game won't let me trade in the last 10 for the next Pokemon because it thinks I don't have enough.

    Question:
    • Is it possible to get an S.S. Ticket (I would have asked Bill, but I couldn't check with him because of the bug I mentioned above), or is fighting the only way to get on the boat?

  • Just a question for the sidequests: how do you solve the puzzle of the house on the route between Lavender and Fuschia? I've been puzzling over it for some time, and I haven't the foggiest clue how to solve it.

Which one? The house with the guy wandering around or the house with the trapdoors?

The guy in the house closer to Vermilion is looking for the "Precious Memento" item located just north of the split in the path between Vermilion, Lavendar, and Fuschia. If you give it to him for free, he'll let you use his house as a base.

As far as the trapdoor house, the key is the notes on the wall. If you sort the notes in order by number, they say:

    or when unscrambled:

    Spoiler:

Just tested this and it isn't limited to New Game +. It seems that when you evolve Pikachu into Raichu, it breaks Vulpix's ability to evolve into Ninetales. If you evolve Vulpix first, it works fine for both, but Pikachu evolving first causes a major bug. Mutating either Pokemon does not seem to make a difference (I did notice that if you mutate Pikachu, then evolve it, the profile picture for Spliced Raichu will revert to generic Raichu's picture).

Also, if you use a Stone on an Pokemon that does not evolve by Stone, you lose the Stone anyway.

I am unsure which were the 6 (I assume at least the Pokemon Center, Poke Mart, SS Anne, and Lt. Surge were included), but actually buying a Slowpoke Tail after helping the Rocket get the tails and then recall the spoiled tails was what gave me my 6th point.

Another thing I did which may have contributed was talking to the Fishing Guru until he gave me an item, but I am not sure that added a point.

I noticed that when picking up the item ball on Lavender Tower 5F (only there on revisit), it says you got a Silver Charm Accessory, but when you look in the Items menu, all the ball gives is a Tin Charm.

Warning: If you leave the Saffron Dojo or open either the Skill Tracker or Town Map after beating the Dojo but before taking Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan, the Karate King will move back to his normal position, and you won't be able to get either Pokemon. If this happens from opening the Skill Tracker/Town Map and you are in the back with the Pokemon, you will be trapped there.

Edit: Something seems off with Tentacool's move-set, at least in the Skill Tracker. When hovering over the first move in the second column, instead of just showing "Wrap" (which I am guessing it should be), it shows, in order:
    "wrap
    poisno sting
    bite
    acid
    glare"
Also, nothing appears when hovering over the first Water-type in the 4th column, or after mutating, the first move in the 5th column (which I am guessing should be Bite), which Tentacool strangely doesn't learn after being mutated.

Edit again: Pay Day says it gives you coins, in both the move description and in the message when using the move, but the value incremented is your money, not coins. It does makes sense for Pay Day to affect money rather than the Coin Case, but using the word "coins" makes it seem otherwise. Speaking of Meowth, in my new playthrough, Spliced Meowth did not learn Snarl at level 25, despite that being when it says it should learn it in the Skill Tracker, nor did it learn Fake Out after using Pay Day 30 times.

Another bug: "Recruiting" Markeva in Rock Tunnel does not actually recruit her. Even when you agree to recruit her, she merely disappears from Rock Tunnel, but her dot on the Map signifying her ability to be recruited remains where it was, she does not appear in any of the Bases, and your recruit count does not increase.

Your game is amazing. I love the dialogue in every character in this game. However the game has some bug.
The cursor for skill tracker is not moving. It happens after i get pikachu.
