I saved it as a PNG. It was a bit big.

Did you change the image type though?
If you go tot the properties, it says the image type is JPEG.

Ah well though, grats on the HoF

It has nothing to do with saving type. Generally the vBulletin uploader will do that to almost every pic uploaded into the user albums.
