Not neccesarly..Your tribe has a certain power. And whether that be related to your weapon or not that techinically is your power.. but your weapon gives you control of the element its related to. :3

Hmm I'm almost oden with storyline plotage heres what I have..

The sky in the world began to turn a deep black..And 7 lights decended from the sky..All a glistening gold..scattered across the four regions..and dwelled amoungst the secret unknown temples in Kanto,Johto,Hoeen, and Sinnoh..The fragments of the Goddess hearts..Were now in the form of weapons.....The world fell into turmoil..Bickering between the humans became war..And war leads to death..Darkrai's plan had succeeded..He sent the world into a pre-apocolypse..But all the demonic and half-pokemon tribes knew that it was not the apocolypse but something had happened to the Goddess of Happiness..While the humans raged at war..the tribes went into hiding and disappeared from the face of the earth..

You belong to one of these many tribes.. And you have been plagued by nightmares that haunt your dreams.. A elegant voice chimes out to you to find your "Legendary" and save her..You are unable to make out what she says..

"Ple....sa....me...I...m..the..Go...f...Hap...ss...I..av....be...tak...hos..by...dark...Plea...save....me....before....ts....to...te..." The elegant voice whispers..and you are greated with an imagine of a beautiful women with long gold hair and a long white dress..She has a gold tint to her and her eyes closed and as she begins to open her eyes..she repeats the message she had just said to you..As the image fades from your dreams you are greated with a dark man..bright blue glowing eyues..silver long hair and a purple tint..he is smirking...

"They'll never find her..Never." The voice cackles standing their holding sometype of relic and then smashing against the wall..As the image fades out your dream looks upon the relic and one part that was saved has a very puzzling legend.

"When the Goddess heart breaks..the only way to repair it is to fidn the 3 legendary crystals..combined with the 7 legendary weapons..It will reunite her heart with heart body..and when they two are reunited..Peace will return.." And with that the relic shows an inscription..

The 7 weapons are...

Arbor.The knuckle of the forest.
Incendia. The axe of the volcano
Aqua. The bow of the lake. (no seriously that IS the latin word for water o_O)
Letum. The Wand of the dead.
Spiritus. The Staff of the spirits.
Caelum. The staff of the sky.
Nivosus. The stick of the snow

And with this at the very end the inscription states..

"Each are located at their appropriate spots..Your first stop will be the weapon of the forest..will it choose you..Or are you unworthy of its power?.."

You toss and turn at these agonizing dreams..You always feel compelled to do something about this but never knew how to..Until one day..You are awoken by the sound of alarms going off..Someone has found you tribe..And when this alarm goes off..You are supposed to flee..You know that you would have to leave your family and everything you know..but with that..You set off for the nearest town..Which happens to be Pallet town..But what did it mean to find your own "Legendary?"

Here is what I have before I must go take a shower (added on to hte part you just read)

The goddess of happiness supposedly in the deepest chamber of Arceus kingdom..And she remains strong if people believe in her..If people stop believing then well... Her heart shatters into 7 different weapons..Each controlling a different power..It ranges from.. healing to physical attack, to possibly even controlling dark powers , or the elements.. Of course the Goddess is strong due to the main demonic..or half-pokemon tribes living in the world..But the winds of happiness are beggining to sway...Something foul is in the air..What is it?.. Well..It has something to do with the Goddess of course...Darkrai..sick of the peace decided to take on human form and decided to play a little trick on the Goddess...Darkrai called himself lacrimabilis the God of Woe or emptyness (Seriously thats what the name means in latin go look it up)..and came into Arceus's chamber asking to see the Goddess..Stating that he was a God and had buisness with the Goddess and of course believing this Arceus the God of Pokemon and the guardian of the Goddess of happiness..As he entered her chamber she slept in her golden crystal peacefully..A light smile combed across her delicate pale face. And with one touch of the crystal the Goddess was sleeping it..it turned a evil, dark purple..The Goddess let out a small cry and then everything in that room turned black..and the crystal shattered..And the Goddess of happiness disappeared...
