I will definitely take osha! typhlosion is a nice mon too and I bet , but I just dislike cyndaquil so I don't feel like dragging it to quilava as fast as possible. also oshawott seems so underappreciated and it's just adorable! I'm only a little bummed because probably won't fit into my team...

cramorant is very cute, but I can use skarmory as a great form of transport.. it's also tough against many mons found around towns, since small normal types and bugs prevail. sorry cramorant! poochyena, zigzagoon, wurmple (aka starting in Hoenn, but don't have privileges for official starters!)

mega evolution lol sob ಥ‿ಥ that was the best once-per-battle gimmick imo. shininess being passed down in gen2 made sense too! needs quite some nerfing though. the cinema complex from gen5 was a really fun side thingy.

I must say gen7! one of my favorite Pokémon originate from it, including null, rockruff, jangmo-o and wimpod lines + naganadel. I'd say gen8 fares very well too.
