Lets see.. I have volume 8-30 of Pokemon Special in japanese, and Volume 2 of Pocket Monster DP in japanese (The one with the crazy clefairy!!!) The last one kind of grosses me out so i dont read it much, lol.

I think it would be a bit too confusing and redundant, if there was a game based off the maga based off the games. I love Pokemon Special for what it is, a retelling of the story of the games. An Anime based off of special on the other hand, even just a few OVA's, if done well, would be amazing...

Too original? Definitely not. If you want something with the same linear and boring storyline as the games, then the anime is there for you. But if you want something that isnt exactly what you played through the games, with new and interesting characters, (And not the same guy for 500+...
