Ok, I just tried it on my rom edit and a fresh rom and it says 'Error loading rom, error loading base stats'. Not sure what that means. Are my roms corrupt? [edit] Nevermind, got a fresh rom and it loads fine. I'm gonna scrap my old rom anyway, no worries.

This might seem like a really dumb question but I haven't tested it and I just want to check before I try it. Basically, I've edited some of the Pokemon catch locations with Advancemap and I am wondering if I will be able to open the rom using YAPE? Will it matter that I've already tinkered with...

I got this working on Linux using Wine, just opened the .BAT file in Wine before starting the program and it all seems to be functioning as normal. I originally tried using Poketext because I'm changing NPC speech but none of the text was showing properly, so this has helped an awful lot :3 Oh...

I've been trying this but every time I complete the steps, I end up with a weirdly patterned background that isn't the picture I used for the bg. I indexed the image to 16 colours but it doesn't appear, no matter what I do. How did you get the photo behind the arcanine in the first post?

This looks awesome. Those overworld sprites are gonna take forever though, good luck with that! XD It will be nice to have Gen 5 Pokemon walking alongside the trainer, finally. I'm definitely keeping an eye on this project :)

this was the first time ever i have tried to change sprites in a rom and i followed your tutorial to the letter, everything seems to be working, except i too get the scrambled sprites when i open the rom with unLZ. i tested the rom after adding the first sprite and it popped up and looked fine...
