I'm working on my 4th Gyarados now. All 3 of my previous ones have Twister... I don't really care about my 67-98%, 93-96%, and 76% IV scores when I have Twister.

What attacks?

My best pokemon IV is a 93.3% Wigglytuff (14/14/14). It seems to be good for dropping into gyms. There's not a lot of them around here and it counters well against the things that typically spawn.

I had to LOL about Magikarp being an uncommon. You can't escape him around here! I imagine you don't live near a river. Another thing about evolving for XP: don't forget to use up what you evolve before transferring it! My disposable army of raticates, pigeottos, hypnos, and golducks take...

Well, I downloaded the update. It didn't seem to affect my XP, but after reading about the players who got reset to level 1 after the update I was worried that just about anything could happen :( So, no bonus XP for Great/Excellent throws anymore. And the GPS seems to get lost all of the time...

That's what I heard, but I played more than 10 hours yesterday and didn't need to restart more than usual (every 1 or 2 hours). I am worried I'll eventually update, however, and find out the 200k XP that I got yesterday didn't count or something.

For whatever reason I didn't download the update for Android over the weekend. At this point I don't want to download it. I like getting extra XP for Great and Excellent throws! Is there anything anyplace that says something bad will happen if I don't download the update?

I'm just starting to learn about the IV (and there seems to be some disagreement about it on the Internet), but it seems this is how it goes: 1. If you're trying to evolve a pokemon just to have a another body for gyms, evolve the highest CP one so that you save your stardust for the pokemons...

Lol...I upgraded it by accident. And it hasn't helped me much at all. The closest it's come is when I'm at my hotspot farming (3 lured stops in one area with 3 more lured stops within 50 yards). I have literally 0 seconds of downtime when I'm there, between hitting the stops and catching...

Yeah, incubators and lucky eggs are a must. Here's a way to look at lucky eggs: if you use them all of the time they effectively cut the amount of XP you need to level up in half. So going from level 39 to level 40 takes 5 million XP which equates to ~7 days of nonstop playing. If you do it...

True, although it's still better to dump bad items for good ones. If I dump 100 red balls, only 50% of the new items I'll pick up will be red balls. I keep doing this until I have all potions, special balls, berries, and eggs. I *never* dump potions (and I have *no* idea why so many guides...

There are two different bars when I use special attacks so hopefully I'm not confusing when I talk about them here. The first bar is between 1-5 (depending on the special) and it fills/lights up when I use lots of fast attacks. When one of these bars is fully lit up I hold the screen to start...
