Everything Neltharion83 said plus a thousand. He hit the nail on the head. Though if I were to add anything it would be the importance of curveballs. I'm convinced I have better catch rates with them though I haven't recorded stats on them.

I'd keep the carp for sure since it's IV is 87%. The highest IV I've caught for one lately (last 50 or so) was only 81% so I'd love to have that Magikcarp! Nothing to spectacular about the rest tho I wouldn't grind them until you need the space.

By 81 I meant that was it's IV percentage. It's a 150ish cp carp with 81% IV. At this point I'm starting to wonder if it's worth waiting for a carp with a higher IV as the last 50 have all been lower. Though if I wait another week or so I'll be able to evolve two back to back :p

Bulbasaur is my favorte poke so I picked him and don't regret it even though I've caught ten more since then. I have caught a half dozen squirtles and only two Charmanders so at this rate I should have 125 candies for them all in about two years :p

I spent six weeks saving for that stupid dragon and have spent the past week or so trying to find a carp with a high IV (my best is 81 right now) so I could evolve the best carp possible in hopes of getting the best Gyrados possible. I'm suddenly a lot less excited about the 600 in carp candy...
