A noob question: does damage from statuses such as burn and poison benefit from STAB and/or type weakness?

I am looking for sk dub serials/films, especially the first series. Not short segments, not czech dub (I have found lot of such myself). My chances are probably low here on international forum, but if you can, please, help me.

I won a dratini in Goldenrod, and I loved how its dragon rage one-shot everything. However, over time it´s becoming weaker and weaker. I just wanted to ask about when is it the right time to replace it. I don´t want to replace it too soon or too late, because that would be a pity.

My worst so far was when I fought a gym leader´s Gengar (mean look, sucker punch, hypnosis and shadow ball) with my Stantler (hypnosis, astonish, stomp and leer), it was going well until he ran out of PP on his sucker punch and I on my astonish. And I couldn´t switch because of mean look, so...

I have no idea, i am total noob and that´s why I ask :\
