I just depends if you like having DynamicPunch never miss at the cost of attacks directed towards you never missing either. Machoke is practical in foggy areas, at the condition that it has No Guard.

Also of note, for the main story of the game, Natures can be ignored just fine. Natures also affect the flavor the Pokémon likes and dislike. These flavors go in homologue with the stats they get boosts of: Spicy = Attack, Tough = Defense, Smart = Sp.Def, Sweet = Speed, Dry = Sp.Atk.

Twice in Pearl, in different new games, and once in Platinum. I don't use the Elite Four for my daily grinding. I prefer using the Dual Gyarados Fisherman (for EXP), 10 steps away from the Luxio/Luxray Rich Boy ($$$).
