This is a really strange edge case considering it's involving real hardware, I think you should report it to the FXPAK people. I just tested this in the SGB MiSTer Core in SGB2's speed, and I can't get this bug.
Now that RHDN's folded, this thread is pretty much the only source of this hack for anyone not able to access the discord.
With that in mind, does anyone know if there been any recent updates to the patch? I'm probably yelling into the void here though.
Considering that permadeath is an option in the list with the bold lettering that states it is selectable, I don't even know what you're talking about.
Have you ever considered adding X-Scissor? There are still a couple of Bug types that could use it, Parasect and Pinsir being big examples.
Maybe also Seed Bomb for cases like Breloom?
I was wondering, would it be a smart idea to change the Gamer trainer class to Gambler? The dialog seems to be edited to allow gambling, but the trainer class name is still uh, "censored."
I guess you can't really call that censored nowadays since a lot of US gas stations and such call slot...
From the default first pocket, switching your bag pockets one to the right, then very quickly two to the left will cause a crash.
I'm using the LR button mode to do this.
EDIT: Actually, it appears that just going through your bag pockets too fast in LR button mode causes this. Always happens...
I just realized that Challenge Mode accidentally turned on itself.
1. Save game and return to the Key Menu via Start+Select+A+B
2. Select Key Menu and don't change any options. Back out with B and go back to your game.
3. Your game will now be in challenge mode.
4. Repeat 1 and 2, challenge...
I have a question. Would it be at all possible to include the Hoenn Pokemon exclusive to Ruby and Sapphire in Plus, so that we might complete the Hoenn dex? This sounds like it'd fit in with the situation. The list is not a large amount, found here...
There's more good than bad effects, but I can't really say it's small and without hurting others. Here's what would happen compared to vanilla gameplay:
1. Sneasel gets Stab. Houndoom, Murkrow, and Umbreon aren't really effected due to stat mechanics and them having near equal stats in both...
Most emulators will have a way to only boot in GB, whether by changing the device it boots in or by forcing GB mode. It's how we also get those "only compatibile with game boy color" screens in GBC games.
Once you make a save it's available. When you make a new game you can choose your version for the first time, and once you set your names and first save your game, you can reset it to get to the Key System.
Sorry about being so late.
-It was the latest release.
-Before getting the fossil, second time I entered it really.
-Nuzlocke mode off.
-Also not sure if this is relevant, but since you mentioned grinding: I was mostly encountering and running away to get a Pikachu.
-I do have a save, but not...
I'm not completely sure if this was the hack's fault or not yet, but I ran into a crash in Viridian Forest. I was just running along in the grass when I got an encounter. Game crashed right after the transition animation, but just before it switched to the battle screen (so I was still in the...
Speaking of making some items early, is Sludge Bomb still only available in postgame? It's about the only TM I always push to be moved, because Kanto's like half Poison types that both can learn it and otherwise don't have good STAB by the Elite Four.
I honestly don't see how it would change anything at this point. Ultimate actually is going back and addressing the type and Special stat split problems that would've been fixed by damage split. At this point it'd be redundant and would just break a whole lot more than it would improve.
