Did you want a special new ferry to do it, or to just enable it on the regular high speed boat? I just put a sailor in Vermillion City that enabled the events by speaking to him after getting the mysticticket in game.

My guess is that the patch makes the ROM file incompatible with most of the simple tools. Have you tried opening it in advancemap 1.92 yet? That would be a simple way to insert Bagon into an early route. If that fails, then script editing would be your only option.

If re-entering doesn't work, this happened to me too, and the problem was map corruption. I needed to make a clean map, copying the contents exactly, and it all worked fine.
Before I saw this response, I had tinkered with it and managed to get it to work. But I also tested out your script here, and the transitions are definitely smoother. Your explanation is also incredibly helpful. Thanks!
