If I have a power weight on my pokemon, and it beats a pokemon, say a Starly, instead of a Bidoof, will it gain 4 EVs in HP or in Speed? This goes for all the Power items, do you gain the 4 EV's in whatever the item calls for, or just for what the pokemon's basic ev stat is set to?

Currently I have a Ludicolo on my team, I need something that can do the same thing as him (a good strong STAB water move.) I was given two suggestions for replacement. Empoleon and Swampert. Does anyone know if either of these can stand up do a full blown outrage?

For big root I would go with either Jumpluff or Meganium. Jumpluff has Protect and sub, so you can use leech seed, and protect and sub without getting any damage, and put a strong move on him like areal ace, and take out whoever you are going against. Meganium is more of a wall, he can learn...
