    Pokemon Government?

I'd say probably some kind of democracy. The game and anime both put a great deal of freedom and individualism into characters, which is something you see less of even in benevolent dictatorships. I just can't see people going off and wandering the entire country on a whim when they're barely...

    2nd Gen Counterfeit pokemon games!

I don't know if it's real or not, but it is very easy to produce counterfeit games. I won't bother with the details, but it's just a matter of buying write-once cartridges (generally $5 to $15 each). There was a case in the news in the UK last year of a parent upset that Nintendo was putting the...

    The System

There's a point though: PS/2 is a technical specification, the / is meaningful, because PS/2 is part of IBM's old System/2 standard. If you leave off the /, it means either PlayStation 2 or Presenilin-2, which is a gene accociated with alzheimer's disease. Compare: PS/2 PS2 PS/2 is a port...

    The System

PS/2 is the port on the back of the computer, not PS2.

    Mtg

Wow, long time since I've thought about Magic. I played in 8th grade (Long time ago, heh...). It isn't too hard, but setting up a deck is a pain. Only decent deck I ever had was a pure green deck based on cards that would summon one 1/1 squirrel every turn as long as they remained in play. If I...

3rd Gen You've got to be kidding...

Only shiny I've ever seen in Sapphire has been that poochyena. It's the random number generator's way of saying, "roflmao n00b," I think. It nearly resulted in one of those waranty-voiding accidents when it happened to me:)

    3rd Gen Ruby or Saphire?

I'd say wait for Emerald. It comes out in about a week (May 1st). It's worth the wait for the new extras.

3rd Gen Pokemon Emerald Movie - Cut Scene with Kyogre/Groudon

You haven't seen Chain of Memories, I take it? It had FMV. Only game I can think of on the GBA that has it, though. I didn't like the game at all, but the animation sure was pretty.

    4th Gen Pokemon Pearl/Diamond Wishlist

No need for two cartridges. The Arm series CPUs used in the GBA and DS can address over a gigabyte of memory without any funny paging tricks. Ruby/Sapphire are only 16 megs. All the ideas in this thread could probably fit onto a 64 meg cart, worst case scenario 128 megs.

    No More Ps2 In Usa!!

Won't effect Australia. The patent is registered in a couple other countries, but the company doing it isn't big enough to go after Sony elsewhere. If they win here, though, that could be a different matter.

    No More Ps2 In Usa!!

Sorry for bumping this, but I didn't see anybody who posted this. The court did grant an injunction to Sony. Until the patent suit is resolved, Sony can still sell the dual shock system here. It only effected the controllers and fourty games, not the system itself. It's not a serious threat that...

What first 5 games did u play?

I'm about to show my age here: Q*Bert (Atari 2600) Dig Dug (Intellivision) Zork (Apple II) Oregon Trail (Apple II) Centipede (Either the arcade or on my friend's Colecovision, forget which I played first)

    PC games

Civilization. Great series, especially Civ III. Need to be very patient, though. A game can run for weeks easily. Caesar and Pharoh are a bit smaller-scale, but they're much faster paced than Civ.

3rd Gen What are the odds?

Nice, made a 1 in 1.6 billion shot? Buy lotter tickets. Lots of lottery tickets.

    4th Gen Pokemon Pearl/Diamond Wishlist

Three new regions is a bit extensive, however, there's a couple solutions. The cheap one would be to require more experience to level up, but IMO pokemon games are pushing the boundaries of tedium already, that would make matters far worse. The other option is to extend the level tables. More...
