My inability to get Pokerus or a shiny Pokemon. Early on it seems you get very little exp and take a lot of damage from enemies - many a WTF moments trying to pick yourself up from a brawl with a Patrat or other such basic Pokemon and losing -_-.

I'm on about 28 hours and have almost completed White. I think 30-40 has got to be the average - sometimes training can take a while in order to push on! Generally for each Pokemon game, I think around 30-40 hours sounds about right.
