  • LOL then I guess just do a side blog? Only downside is you can't follow back people you like on that specific blog. lol are you sure? I always feel like I'm too "old" for them OTL
Orrr if you want to have them completely separate you can make a new account lol. A lot of people have side/multiple accounts. Well... it's only embarrassing because it's a 1D blog lol -hides face in shame- But I can never talk to them to anyone so it's like an outlet OTL
nah Patriots. rip my villagers ): and yeah I haven't met many people here that are into it either unfortunately. I used to play with Luck Hax a lot, he's here.

and someday I will write that novel. I want it to be really long and sprawling and not have much plot. it's gonna be weird and there are gonna be a shitton of characters. that's the dream at least. yo I am legitimately the worst artist I have ever met in my entire life with regards to visual art. do you do visual stuff? I love looking at it but I can't actually do any of it u kno.

I'd want to be a doctor if it weren't for all the gore. I can't take that either. I love animals so I couldn't really be a vet either. yeah I live like 30 minutes out of Boston. it's kinda cool here. you?
aw sounds cute! I actually like those blogs, but too lazy to do it on my own. You can do a fashion side blog you know. oh God you really want to know? But it's embarrassing lol
is your blog like a fashion blog or something? lol that's the only time I hear people talking about a colour scheme for their whole blog. I've gone through a lot of phases though on my old blog, switching between liking several guy groups OTL
yeah I used to hate taylor swift but that was before I realized that she's awesome so. football's okay, I haven't followed it as much recently. I watch it with my family when I'm out with them because they're all watching so I see no point in not, I get really into it too. 8) I have new leaf but haven't played in like a year whoops............ I've been wanting to get started again but there'd be so much to do when I start back up again and that sounds TERRIFYING.

I'm thinking of majoring in english or (god forbid) liberal arts but there is almost no work in either of those and I don't want to be a teacher and I'm scared I'm not good enough to be a journalist or a writer or something. my ideal field is music/film journalism but it's so hard to find a good job in that. freelance would be fine with me but there's so little money involved that it's scary. I want to stay in new england or maybe go to new york for college; nowhere too far from here and I want to have all four seasons because I like the cycle. thinking about the future scares the shit out of me so I usually don't do it. that's a problem for future me. I'm really good at procrastinating as well.

most of the stuff I write is like beginnings of screenplays or novels. I really want to write a huge novel about a high school that's really fucked up but not like a young adult novel -- I want it to be UNCOMFORTABLE and DISTURBING but that sounds kind of pretentious so I have no idea. I have no fucking idea. I don't usually write songs out, I just either hum them and keep the recordings or I'll play a bare bones piano or guitar riff and save it and hope I can build off of it. it's rare that genius strikes me in that regard though. I think of a lot of new song ideas in my head but not many of them stick with me for very long. yeah. life.

    sorry I ramble a lot heheheheh 8)
yours never does that?? that's weird o_O mine never promotes anything on the app, it's just everyone I follow's posts. What are we doing so differently? lol pssht everyone's blog is a "quality blog" unless they're a spam account. ugh yes I need to follow that advice: never update unless there's some groundbreaking, amazing change
yo I saw that guy with the sax but only for like a second so I didn't get to focus on it much so I didn't notice his LIES and DECEIT but I actually love taylor swift so it's okay.

I also march tenor sax and I do jazz as well. I don't really play any sports because I'm not exactly the most athletic person but I watch them and kind of half-assedly follow a couple. animal crossing is amazing. other than music I watch a lot of movies and read a lot of books. I think I'm that artistic hipster kind of person in real life. I feel like a gigantic douchebag saying that but that's the closest I can get to my personality I guess. I don't actually do that much aside from books and movies and music, I like to hang out with friends a lot and ride my bike and write (when the moment strikes me, and I always end up deleting everything like a day after I write it anyway) and that's kind of it. I have no idea what I want to do with my life and I haven't started looking at college or anything yet. I do pretty well in school for the most part but I don't have much of a work ethic heh. that's about it really.
bari sax is pretty cool. problem with sax is it's utilized in a really cheesy way most of the time. hilarious pun. also out of curiosity how old are you? (that was weird) in my band, there's a lead guitarist, a guy that sings/plays rhythm guitar who can also play keys if need be, a guy that plays bass and will usually play harmonica if we ever need him to do that, and I play drums and if we ever put our songs to tape I'd like to contribute backing vocals if possible but like I won't do anything else in concert most likely unless it's an acoustic song or something. work on getting skype it's gr8.

what else do you like to do?
I redownloaded it and I got a ping when someone liked something but half the time gifs don't even load >_> LOL Tumblr doesn't care. They're always updating and fixing things no one cares about instead of important things like their fanmail system. I see there are alternative apps though?
this is jangle pop. it's becoming one of my favorite genres. I love its feel. good idea @ animal collective.

I've always wanted to try to pick up clarinet just for the hell of it (although I'm not sure I could). bass clarinet is one of the best instruments when used properly, nice. I wish I had an acoustic guitar but I'm just tryna learn on an electric. I imagine ukulele would be way easier to pick up with a general understanding of the guitar, but it could work both ways. I think ukulele is easier to learn overall, however I could be waaaay off on that idk. bass is really cool but yeah you kinda get stuck in a corner because there's not much you can do with it if you're not in a band. ya

you should delete the apps anyway skype is cool 8)
lol! yeah there are quite a few weird ones... Don't talk to them though lol. I think someone a while back said it was because it was unreliable? So you use the Tumblr app? :o that thing is so laggy for me lol
that's basically it for arctic monkeys, their newest album felt like such a retread and I really couldn't even stand the singles ))): (granted that's all I've heard from it so maybe I'm not the most reliable source) I can't really tell if I love mac demarco's persona or if I really hate it but he makes solid jangle pop and I love jangle pop so like I give him a pass.

as far as animal collective goes you need to check 'em out!! my advice would be to start with their album merriweather post pavilion and then work backwards chronologically through the rest of their albums, as they got more accessible as they went and this way it kinda eases you into the weirder shit that they did. BUT my advice would be (if you get this far) to go to spirit they're gone, spirit they've vanished after sung tongs. uh actually basically just do this:

merriweather post pavilion -> strawberry jam -> feels (probably my favorite album of theirs) -> sung tongs -> spirit they're gone spirit they've vanished -> here comes the indian -> danse manatee (very bad) -> centipede hz (which just came out in 2012 but isn't good). then listen to fall be kind, an EP that came out between strawberry jam and merriweather post pavilion (I think) and then hollinndagain, which is a live album that's mostly bad but there are a couple of absolute gems on it. it's fucking weird though. then listen to whatever else your heart desires, namely water curses, another EP that I think also came out between strawberry jam and merriweather post pavilion, and people, which is another EP that came out between feels and strawberry jam (I think). whoops I just gave a lot of information. they're worth checking out though -- they were one of the first bands I really, really, really got into and I regret nothing.

aaaa as far as radiohead goes listen to ok computer and kid a. they're two of my favorite albums ever.

and I play drums, saxophone and piano and I'm sorta learning guitar and I play drums in a band that plays at restaurants every now and then. it's really fun. we mostly cover a lot of weezer but we've written some stuff too. in the future, once I've learned guitar I'm gonna buy a bass and then record my own music with all the instruments I have at my disposal, probably. I can sing too kinda but I'm not particularly good.

do you play any instruments? ^___^

holy christ I just sent this and it's really fucking long my bad
I love the strokes' first album but everything after that is a bit patchy for me ): cage the elephant is cool. I really don't like arctic monkeys, I liked them when I was first getting into music but they got really old really fast for me. some of their songs are really good, though. I love vampire weekend and I think their last album was their best so far!! I feel like they really matured; while the first album was fun enough, and the four or five really good songs were REALLY GOOD, I feel like they had the potential to do way more and that potential was realized with the last one. it feels much sadder. I like that. and mac demarco is pretty good as well. check out salad days, pretty solid album.

my favorites are modest mouse, animal collective, radiohead, yo la tengo, the brave little abacus, sonic youth, jeff buckley, red house painters, the national, elliott smith, teen suicide, the wrens, the world is a beautiful place & i am no longer afraid to die, oneohtrix point never, midwest pen pals, sufjan stevens, built to spill.... etc. I listen to a lot of emo, which I will shamelessly admit. I like to think my taste is pretty diverse. music is my favorite thing so I spend a lot of time seeking it out and listening to it and making it.
