The first 3 movies are all tied for my favorite. That, for me, was when Pokémon was at it's best.

Red. Pikachu, Venasaur, Blastoise, and Charizard didn't stand a chance against me. But Lapras and Snorlax were so damn hard!

My weakest Pokémon to ensure they're sent out in battle first and I can train them. Currently Charizard.

I currently only own Heart Gold but I've played one game from every generation.

I think it's favored by males but I think it's also a show females can enjoy. As far as replacing Ash with a female main character or even another male main character, it's never gonna happen. Ash is the anime.

Mostly I think it's probably because they bite and they're slimy. I love them myself, though. If you handle them correctly they're nothing to worry about.
