I'm sorry but I'm a harsh critic. The chickorita idea is cool but the sprite has some odd things about it. The fire on top of its head is odd and should probably be more streamline with its body. Also the small bits of fire should be replaced with a "collar" in my opinion. But hey thats just me

Im saying that he needs to be more cartoony, bubbly, animesque. Also the pose thing the wild pokemon has his back turned to you and isn't even looking at you change the sprite in that way as well

I don't like the fakemon that much 1. more cartoony 2. in a better pose the one fakemon is looking away from you if it's strong it will be staring at you
