Technically, it is possible to transfer pokemon up that far, but it's expensive, convoluted, and not supported by Gamefreak. It involves flashcarts, emulators, conversion tools, and some Gameboy peripherals that I didn't even know existed. If you're insane enough to attempt it, here's a video...
I feel like time has been very kind to Bulbasaur. After the Charizard hype faded, people seem to have finally noticed that Venusaur is better when it comes to battling (at least until Gamefreak showered Charizard with fanservice buffs in gen 6). Now people are a lot more aware of Gen 1's crit...
I'd have to say the Pokeathlon, which I think was contests done right. You could raise your stats with various apricorns, and making aprijuice wasn't a huge pain like the Poffins were. The events were skill-based, rather than the horrible judge systems in Platinum's contests. And on top of...
The thing about Platinum is that it's one of the games with the least amount of early-game filler. Even though some Pokemon are better than others, you can't really go wrong with any of them besides Kricketot, Burmy, Pachirisu, or a few others. Staraptor turns into an offensive beast, Bibarel...
Wow, so it actually is possible to catch a Munchlax via honey tree? So my cousin wasn't lying...
Anyways, I'm so glad that the honey trees only appeared once, because they were just terrible. Why did they take headbutt trees and make them more expensive and put a 6 hour cooldown? My least...
Ouch, and I picked HGSS since I knew it wasn't region-locked. Didn't know the White region lock affected the 4th gen games. Guess I'd better start raising that army of Bidoofs, then...
I recently got a used Japanese SoulSilver cart from Amazon (in my quest to complete the National Dex and learn some Japanese with it), but for some reason I can't transfer anything from it to my White version. I get as far as the DS Download Play, but then it asks me to insert a copy of the 4th...
You might want to grind a couple more levels. You could probably win with those levels if you really clean up your movesets (get rid of HMs, use some setup moves, give Gyarados better physical moves and get rid of Surf and Dive, etc.), but with the power creep this time around I'm not quite...
Isn't it kind of a waste of time to battle up to Steven, only to lose to him and lose half your money? Might as well just beat him or rematch Gentleman Walter and the rich trainers near Petalburg Woods. I remember getting the max prize money O-power and farming over a million $ by the end of it.
I'm pretty sure the game's gonna just be emulated like other VC titles, and the wireless trading's just gonna work like an emulated link cable. Which I'm fine with. I'd say leave everything the way it is. The glitches give this game a lot of it's charm.
THANK YOU for removing that Flash room at the bottom of Mt. Silver. I was dreading having to memorize every step of the room to not have to drag an HM slave along. Anyways... Damn, that Red battle actually managed to top that last Trainer House battle (though I swear to god, if I ever see...
I fail to see how it's hard to train. Once you get it, you can just slap Surf on it, and it nukes almost everything you're battling at that point in the game due to it's base stats being so much higher than the not fully evolved midgame pokemon.
