There is many reasons for your glitch.. 1) Gameshark - Cheater.. :) 2) You must of corrupted something in game, during your time playing it.. 3) Or it's just a game glitch..

Well, I came by the weirdest glitch in pokemon yellow once. I started a new game and then I went to speak with Professor Oak, so we can go get a pickachu. When He gave my the pickachu, it was lvl 219, for some strange reason... ANd then I just went on with it to the first gym leader, "brock"...

Wow.. The pokemon he is breeding for you guys are obviously pokemon modified, "a Action Replay cheat" you might get banned on the net for doing this.. So I've heard.
