is there an easier way to patch than to mess with codes?

When i patch the 1.2 file and use the 1.1 sgm savegame file, it isnt compatible. VBA-M wont see it or load it but when i revert to 1.1 again its fine. i probably used two different roms for patching and cant remember. i hope i wont miss much not having 1.2 but looks like i will start over as...

I just started playing 1.1.. since the only noticeable change is that the 2nd gym is easier, should i upgrade and can i do that without losing my progress? i really like this hack so far good going

Im in the cave by blue water falls and my sprite isnt visible, its just an empty cave with the flash light to navigate it, how do i get out?

I have been playing and owning it with ursaring. My only complaint is that after just beating a gym the trainers pokemon levels are lower than that in the gym (up to water gym) nice hack!

Where can you catch kawappa? Cool hack but i think the trainers between first and 2nd gym are weird. the first gym has 12-14 lvl okemon and thet trainers up to road only 9-11 lvl? why? the 2nd gym is imho in no proportion to the wild trainers surrounding it, thx for the minus version, you are a...
