Oh! Before I forget; as an alternate, you can go to your settings and manage contacts & friends. Just copy and past the username you'd like to add and enter. :)

You should now see my friend request in your queue.

Off the right side of a user's profile you'll see a box dedicated to that user's friends. Just under that is text stating "befriend [user]". I will happily add you as a friend to get you started!
