I had gotten something similar in a kit for a DS Lite a few years back. It worked for charging the ds Lite, but it was also a lot slower to charge from a computer than from the outlet.

honestly? none. I'm much more of a handheld gamer. If I were to get any of them, I'd probably get the Wii U, but so far I haven't seen anything that even remotely piques my interest by way of titles (available or in-development) so for the foreseeable future, none would be my answer.

It is possible to replace the battery inside the cartridge, I think it's a CR1010 watch battery.
