You should run a defensive core in OU. Personally i run rain with a core of tentacruel+ferrothorn+skarmory to stack up hazards like SR and spikes. Also since rain is used ferrothorn and skarmory's fire weakness is cut in half.

To be honest as one of the members said up above, leads are pretty much dead because of team preview. Explosion got nuked in gen v also. Personally i'd also put a jolly salamence so you can be fast enough to out speed non choice scarfed pokemon :).
