  • great, i sent the link to the rom file and a description of all the cities in a PM. if you could work on #6-7 (you will understand after reading the .doc). #6 has already been made but i dont like it so much so i would like you to redo that map.
    Unfortunately, every game animates these differently, and each style has its own different graphics for the bike, fishing pole and Pokemon you're surfing on. The tutorials would basically consist of "recolor the body of the protagonist from Pokemon Sapphire and put your own character's head on it", because nobody would be interested in making forty frames of animation from scratch when the alternative is that easy.

    i have an idea for the intro..
    during the opening animation when oak is explaining all the deails, he talks for a long time, and you just keep pressing A, then he says:
    Hey <name> are you paying attention?
    then it cuts to ,name> standing in oaks office with your rival
    okay cool. im thinking about having a levelling curve: and having ur pokemon you recieve be lvl 10.
    meadow - lvl 7-15
    the first gym leaders levels would be 13-18lvl.
    haunted forest would be at 15-17
    awesome! it only saves as a DIB, wtf
    there is something about it, which makes me uneasy.
    do you have any tiles with a grassy/jungle theme?

    not sure if i should have filler houses at the bottom next to the trees, i dont know if i really like the layout, im thinking about asking the map thread, but im kinda afraid ill get too much flaming. since there is grass
    I think Beta 1 should go from leaving the water city, then thru route 1 (im thinking about not having route numbers but rather names i.e: east meadow) then the pre-gym event, defeating the leader and also passing the test in the forest north of grass city.

    Concepts:
    Water city, the biggest populated city of the mirco-region with 100 people (golden rod has 70), and to the south have a second map which is like a port/beach area which connects water city with the sea route.

    East Meadow, is a grass maze styled area, which is very long (about 100 X 25 tiles) with a bed and breakfast in the middle (healing cost $700, also has fresh water for sale), with lots of grass and slightly gruelling path.

    Grass City, is a Eco-friendly city (solar pannels and mulch bins?) with lots of green, the gym leader(dr. weedle) also works in a natural medicine lab(which sells the bitter objects but later on has new products like: Green Potion, heals 90hp and is made of old potion bottles and soft berries.) The gym is very eco friendly and has 3 trainers, who use a mixture of grass n bug pokemon.

    haunted forest is a maze like forest with fog and purple trees, it has lots of warp panels put there by its inhabitants of a cult of psyic trainers and shrine women. getting thru the maze and warp pannels there is the leader of the cult who gives u cut for making it thru.
    i was thinking about having only one PC, and a non editable rival.
    I'm thinking: your advance mapper and basic scripter.

    im wondering if i should edit the red sprite or keep it all simple and if i ever make a seqeal then include a graphical update, also i was thinking about remove theh boy/girl feature
    i just asked Dr Fuji, and omg hes smart! hes a really advanced scripter, im super impressed by him.

    so far i have tiled about 1/2 of the starting city, its big though: 60x50 tiles :D i have made a secret area for the city (there is a massive river running though the city since its a water city and on the other side of the river there is a grassy area. its complete disconnected from the city, unless you have surf or waterdfall and surf is the last HM you get.
    do you do much pixel art?
    i would love some help on my hack (i have a beta title for it called: Hexia Horns)
    and i have the ccs set up for a team thread, but its not ready yet. i wanna have a few members before i start a post :P

    is it possible to compile the maps or would i have to edit the maps, then email it to you, and you edit some maps and send it back and vice versa?
    i can see any maps?
    links please :D

    it would be nice if i could have an advanced mapper (get all my warps working and maybe some interior maps, since i have none, and i hate interior mapping :( )
