Found a weird bug or anomaly. I just defeated Ash's level 65 Metagross before the Elite 4, and got only 60 EXP points for it. Perhaps it got switched with Venipede who seems to give out thousands of EXP points? :D

Well you download the base Ruby .gba file and then IPS patcher applies the patch to the Ruby gba file. So it's the same result, you get the Light Platinum hack in .gba format. No-one can technically link you to a patched .gba file as it's illegal.

I think it was Super Mario 64, either that or some dodgy soccer game.

I'm not sure, I'm so used to the current system! It would have to be done really well to work though I think.

Google Pokemon Ruby USA and you can't go far wrong. And it's not packaged into one ROM because it's illegal otherwise.

Sounds like you patched it wrong if you can't get it to open at all. What OS are you using, and which software are you using to patch? I use UIPS (Working version is on Romhacking.net) for Mac, and I think Lunar IPS is solid for Windows. Remember to get correct base Ruby ROM, then open patcher...

You've proably got the base ruby ROM wrong, as I had the same problem (also VBA on Mac). Search POKEMON RUBY USA and you should be ok from there.

Hey man, I started playing this a couple of days ago and have already got as far as I can. It's the first pokemon hack I've played and it's absolutely incredible, so thank you! I hope you keep this going because I am hooked :D
