I think the story as a whole has been told in an excellent manner, I just think that you could use a little sentence variety. Take a look at this excerpt, and I think you'll see a pattern: See what I mean? Other than that, though, it is quite good so far.

Hmmm... I was aiming more for a combination of Swamp Thing and Sandman. Anyways, the whole reason the pokemon is found dead is to make the reader, and the characters themselves, question whether any of it really happened at all.

A pretty good story... much better than a lot of the stuff I've read recently. I just have one question: what will your region look like? Will it be tropical, such as in (poor) Malachite? Or arctic, like no pokemon game yet made? Even if other people ignore this, I believe in you!

Well, I can't say if it will help you, but the way I named towns was by making another language for the culture, then combining words. "Men" (rocky) + "sha" (glade)= "Mensha" (rocky glade town). Anyways; In its current state, I wouldn't want to play this game, no offense. There's... no plot...
