Well I cant help you then, as I hack FR and not Emerald :) you could just forget about the birch script entirely, and script in the birch meeting place from scratch in the place you want it to be. If you then come across the birch script while making the game you can then delete it from the game...

Are you using XSE v1.0? If so, you'll need to update to 1.1.1.
Also, you may need a lock at the start and release at the end, that may be why it skips past it.

Is this a script event? if so, you'll need to put a var number in the var number box in a-map (use var numbers 7000 and up). That is, if you haven't already.
I cant comment on the first part as I dont use spherical ice's method, but what I can say is that the checkflag wont work.
For some reason checkflag situations dont work in these scripts, but you can get around that using the setvar command.
var's act like the scripts flag, if it is 0x1 it wont...

I get the script to work all fine and stop after it has activated, but the script starts whenever I enter the map, not on the tile that I want...
I hack just to put my ideas into something and have fun with my creative side. I go serious because I want it to feel like a genuine pokemon experience rather than a joke, but when I first found out about hacking it was light hearted, until I decided to make a complete game.
