What I was really getting at was that even though GameStop/EBGames are selling it for C$39.99 (which by exchange rate is more than US$42), literally every other Canadian retailer has been selling it for C$34.99 since launch day.

Interesting that you mentioned Future Shop. For about a week after release, they were actually giving a $10 discount if you bought both Black and White. To my knowledge there wasn't even a similar deal at Best Buy.

Actually, that reminded me of the summer of 2009, when I went to China. A lot of foreign-company stuff there (e.g. cars, some electronics) is actually pretty expensive, sometimes more expensive than in North America even if you factor in the exchange rate. What you're saying is definitely true...

Well, you really never know. Back when the games were $45 at GameStop, one person I talked to actually didn't know that there were places selling it for cheaper, despite the fact that the only "participating retailer" selling it that expensive was GameStop. Still, I think something's clearly...
