To make a correction, I'm a storm spotter, not so much of a chaser.
A chaser will drive hundreds if not thousands of miles for a storm. Where a spotter actually waits for the storm to hit them.
I will drive 50 miles one way away from home before I turn around.
A chaser is someone who has nothing better to do. I have a job :( And a chaser is not exactly what you see on Twister either. Only a few are doing it for research, most do it for sport.
