Could someone PLEASE tell me where to go next???

Where is the Abandoned Lab? I beat the admins in Riveria Cave, and then skipped the dialogue by accident (didn't read the lines), so now idk where to go.

Some notes about stuff that are still in French even when choosing to play in English: 1) After I selected that I am a boy at the start, when she asks me to tell her my name, it's in French still. 2) The name of the achievement screen and the achievements' details are all still in French...

Can't find the cave on route 3. Can someone help?

Not sure where to go after beating 5th gym leader (Koga). Did a bunch of side stuff, got rock smash, but not sure what to do in order to get to next town. Can't find strength or surf HMs. Got cut, but not strength, surf, or fly yet.
